New Miura iron in September?

@Barracuda if the offset between the 501 and 201 is similar, is the turf interaction similar? The 201 looks to have a slight touch more leading edge relief.
I have a 301 5 and 6 Iron. I have shafts available for an additional 7, 8, 9, and P. I was leaning towards the 501, but now the 201 enters the equation.
Thanks, Sir!

Baracuda any course reports on the TC-201? Very curious on the turf interaction and overall distances compared to the CB-301

Distance is hard to tell. Since I have a very different shaft in the 201 compared to my gamer, I am getting very consistent yardage, which is what I look for in an iron, since I'm plenty long with my irons. 7 iron goes about 175 carry for me. 201 is pretty forgiving, at least from someone of our level, I don't think I sacrifice anything with the smaller head. Turf interaction is great. It goes better than 301 from the rough, and the leading edge is giving me some very nice looking divots.

Thanks, I may have a demo in my hands next week to try. I am looking forward to trying a different shaft as the MCI black 100x in my 301's is proving to be too much for my old swing to hit consistently.

From what I have been told it should be less. However, I have not seen the 201 in person. Really hoping for less so I can combo with the 101 to have a seamless transition in offset between the two.

Thats the Combo I'm looking to do. Did you have the lofts adjusted? The 201s are 1* strong vs the 101s. Pretty sure I will go 201 4-6 and 101 7-9 while making the 101s 1* strong.

I recieved my demo TC201 7 iron today paired with a C Taper 125 S+ a bit more shaft then I would have picked but hit a few balls with it and my CB301 with the MCI Black 100x and the TC definitely launched higher and seemed to be a bit longer even though it is a degree weaker in loft.

I was recently fit at Club Champion for the KBS TGI 110 and I bet that will make a crazy good pairing with this head. Going to get it out on the course tomorrow and see how the turf interaction is. The TC is just a bit smaller overall and a bit less offset so it checks all the boxes to the eye test.

MG is for Japan releases vs Miura is for global release. I'd say the benefit of MG is that you can get them custom (if you're in Japan/can read the website). AKA, you can get less/more offset, leading edge relief or not, squarer setup, etc. This is especially nice for some of the higher offset heads in the Miura lineup. For instance, you can get MC501's with much less offset which makes them more gameable for a lot of players.

They should be from the same forgery though. I think at least. Perhaps they keep the very best of the best for Japan but the Miura global brand is still extremely high quality.

I'm a digger so this may not apply to you but I've found the MB 101's to being fairly sharp/low bounce so keep in mind that you are making the blades even lower bounce when you bend them strong.

As a digger, I'm always more confident adding loft vs taking it away. But I'm pretty sensitive to bounce. It may not impact you.

Curious on those who have ordered the 201's, what your thoughts were on only a 2 degree loft change from 3 to the 4 iron? I'm possibly looking at going with a full set of tc201, or combo with 101's. I'm coming from TM rac blades that are 4 degree loft changes through the entire set aside from a 3 degree loft difference between the 3/4 irons.

As for loft changes I'd like to weaken them, but keep the 3 iron where it is to get a bigger loft gap in the 3/4.

Anyone else still loving their cb-57's? IMO, they have the perfect profile out of any recent offerings. I had the MC501's and could not believe the amount of offset it had for a blade style. I set up to an MB-301 recently and it looks like something I can play to replace the CB's. I really want to see the TC's in person before I order a 301 set.

Just a couple of thoughts. Thanks to Peoples Golf for the demo.

Beautiful iron. Probably my favorite Miura shape so far. Compared it to my J15CB irons and they're quite similar, which isn't a bad thing considering those J15's are my favorite irons ever. Going to hit the demo on the range today.

My 7, 8 and 9 are still in the bag as starters!!

The PW I tried to get along with several times! I wanted to love it. I really, really did. And I just don't. It doesn't perform. Looks stunning. But doesn't tickle my fancy.

The 6 Iron I can use, but chose not too. I hit the CB•301, as well as the CB•1008, 6 Irons, noticeably better.
