I heard that in terms of where it falls in the lineup as far as forgiveness goes, it will be slotted right after the MC501, which means the 301 and 601 are reach more forgiving? Yet these looks like huge monsters like PXG XFs.....for something that is close in forgiveness to the MC501, why would you ever choose these considering the MC501 is sexy as hell and probably has better turf interaction???

For me, Miura have never beaten the shape/design of the 5005. They look as sexy as an iron can look. I will try them one day.

Any info on the difference between the MB 101 and the tbZero? Tour Spec makes it seem like the MB 101 is the MB 5003 but for global distribution and the tbZero is the actual new product.

 

To me, it looks like the tbZero has maybe some leading edge relief but that could just be the pics.

Looks like it's a variable cavity depending on the iron. Long irons have a bigger cavity than the short.

 

Also Zac Blair posted on his instagram story a short video of 4i head. I tried to screenshot some. Cavity doesn't look overly large to me and this is the 4i so the worst of the bunch.

I hope offset on these is similar to the cb-57's, which I consider perfect. Everything that has come out after the 57's has had too much offset IMO.

That is my main gripe with the MC 501's. The 7-PW have way too much offset for a club like that. I have a set of MB 101's coming so I hope the offset is much better on those.

Have you looked at the new cb-301's at all? Profile and offset are damn near perfect. I agree on the Mc-501's. I had a set and couldn't look down at them.

I dont know why the CB301 gets overlooked. I replaced my PXG set with CB 301 about a month ago. and its the best set I ever owned. I really like how they sit, and distance control is perfect. I tried the MC 501, but the 301 just outperformed everything,

I have not. But I will consider adding the new cavity if the offset is ok in the longer irons and use the MB101's from 7-PW.

CB-301 with MCI Black shafts inbound from Will Peoples, tried the IC-601 but the offset and overall sole width was just too much to get used too.

I am also wondering as well. I thought the TB Zero is the Japanese version of the MB 101, just like I was led to believe that the MB 5003 was the Japanese version of the MB001. This is all confusing to me.

From my understanding, they are essentially the same. Miura Giken however gives the JDM market the ability to really customize the heads, with grinds, amount of offset, etc.

I wonder if the new TC - 201 have the same profile (size, top line, sole and offset) as the CB 57s with a touch more forgiveness because of the deeper cavity. If they are, I would be very interested. I noticed the lofts on the TC 201s are 1 degree stronger than the CB 57s from 4 to PW.

As I suggested a while back, my guess is they’re closer to the 1008s than the 57s...obviously a wider sole though.

I normally like to try new shafts when I order a new set since that's the cheapest/easiest way but didn't want to risk not getting along with these. So another set of PX 6.0's on their way. Have been gaming them for the last 13 yrs basically.

Has anyone seen the TC-201 in person yet? I am curious as to the overall size compared to the CB 301, which are on the large side to my eye.

I haven't seen them in person, but as posters above mentioned, it looks like they modified the CB-1008 dies to create the TC-201, I anticipate them being almost identical in size, which is quite a bit smaller than the new 301, which is relatively large.

Blue/yellow ring ferrule is cb301, red and white is the new tc201.

Most noticeable thing is less offset on the 201. Head is more compact as well, although I don't think 301 is that big, in fact, most people assume the 301 are hard to hit just from looks.
