Absolutely. I had your exact same problem. As soon as I transitioned to hitting up on driver in a quest for a more positive AOA, my iron game went to trash.

 

This cured me (ymmv) - when hitting irons now, try to imagine you dump all your energy down and into the ball. As in, that's the completion of the swing. Realistically it wont be, but it will get you back to hitting down on the ball. It will feel like you're just punching at the ball. Just dump all the energy at the ball.

 

I've been exactly where you are. It's super frustrating when you used to take big divots and now you barely brush the surface with a PW, lol, and everything is thin or low off the face.

 

Also, now that you made the swing chance, make sure you dont need longer irons. How tall are you?

Thanks! I realized I posted it in the wrong section. I'm 6 foot tall and play standard length.
