Disappointing releases from Titleist

Ah, yes. The first adventures with irons started in 2011 with the release of the RazrX family. This came as the X## got closed out in 2010. It ran from X12 up through X22. After fumbling with the X24 Hot (orange trim!), the X Hot (actually solid irons) and the X2 Hot (more orange trim!), the RazrX era arrived.
For irons, this included the RazrX, RazrX Tour, the RazrX Black, RazxrX Forged, RazrX HL (Bertha-ish), Razr Edge (Diablo first-cousin) - and the Razr Proto? The Proto was out there somewhere, but us Callaway watchers couldn't figure out if it was invitation only (??), or available to general public. Did Callaway have six or seven iron models for 2011?
I remember I got a full bag fitting spring 2011. For irons I tried out the RazrX, the Tour and the Black. My pro told me just to keep my X20 Tours, which was fine with me. The RazrX three were decent clubs, but certainly not any better than the X20 Tours.@WristySwing , I appreciate you taking the time to give us play-by-play detail on what actually happened. So, has Callaway reshaped its irons into three classes, similar to airline seating?

(I must confess, I have largely ignored the Epic line -irons included - since my XR16 Pro driver tied the newbie Epic in the Epic Challenge of 2017; seems like every time I looked at the Callaway site, a new Epic player had joined the roster.)As for continuity... Smaller manufacturer Tour Edge has had three classes of clubs since circa 2006: Exotics (now split into Exotics and CRX), Hot Launch, and Bazooka (boxed sets). But, TE has been consistent on this for more than a decade.Final note: Too bad the Rogue Pros disappeared at mid-summer. I wanted to get fitted for a 4-PW set with Recoil 95 F3 shafts | + 1/4" long | probably with 4i and 5i softstepped.
