Adidas CodeChaos - Thoughts?

Last 2 months in Virginia have been cold and very soggy at my home course. I wear wool socks. My feet are always warm and dry after the round. These shoes are great and check all the boxes. Extreme comfort.

Haven’t worn them in snow but have worn them in nasty mud and they perform just fine.  I washed in the washing machine (after hosing down the mud off) and they came out pretty damn clean.  The bottoms are stained but that’s it.  Grip in wet weather has been great.  I almost think grip in super hard pan is worse than wet weather, but not bad by any means

I've got 2 pair and find them very comfortable, waterproof and easy to clean.

I'm a big fan of Adidas shoes and was hesitant when I bought the PrimaBLues last year as i don't like meshy fabric shoes.  They are really good though.  Comfortable and light with good grip.  I will say thought that they may not be the best choice for sloppy weather and that's why I rotated them.

If I wear a 9 in a traditional addidas boa golf shoe, how will the same size fit in the code chaos?

I fit best in a 10w FJ Pro SL, will a 10 in code chaos be ok or do I size up?

The SL had a weird fit to me, seemed to fit a bit longer and a bit slim as well.  I'd think 10.5 would be right for you in CC.

I totally agree with this...  I have a 10w Pro SL, those fit me best and I dont have wide feet.  The SL do fit slim, thanks for the insight, I am going to try and get to the store to actually try on the CC.

Good luck, if they fit your feet properly, they're some of the comfiest and cushiest golf shoes I've ever tried on.

Thanks, I walk with a pushcart 90% of the time and the SL are good but feel a little less "sporty" if that makes sense.  Looking for something durable and comfortable that wont get wet in the early mornings.  SO many good reviews of the CC.

I've played 2 wet(one downright soggy where I carried) rounds with mine and both times my feet were bone dry at the end and felt amazing.  I wouldn't say the feel is necessarily for everyone as it is very cushioned and absorbs a lot of shock...some people who like to use a stiffer shoe so they can leverage the ground for power might not like them.

Picked up two pair yesterday.... Got the black ones and the white with neon green/yellow.  The white ones were on sale for $114 so I figured why not, but I am impressed with the feel already.  Little tight in the toe box but I think after some use they will be perfect.  They seem to have the feel I was looking for!!!

Are the black ones the Sport model? I'd like to see some compares on Sport vs regular CodeChaos.

I accidentally bought the Sport version when I was trying to get the regular CodeChaos.  I would say it's a stiffer ride and not nearly as comfortable as the regular CodeChaos. 

 

Sport is the knockdown version.

Instead of Boost in the full midsole, it has Boost in the heel and Bounce in the forefoot.  Bounce is a much harder material than Boost.

Sport model doesn't have the INSITE liner and Torsion X.   

The material that covers the uppers (which I assume makes the shoe waterproof), is cut out around the 3 strips.  I didn't test this, but it looks like you can't submerge the shoe as deeply into water as you could with the regular CodeChaos.

Did they change anything for 2021 for the code chaos?  Some of the "2020" models are on deep discount but...I don't see any difference in color or style between the ones on the adidas website and the ones on the other retail sites

Did they change anything for 2021 with the code chaos?  I see some on deep discounts for the "2020" model but they have the same colors and design on the adidas website as they do on these retail sites.
