Anyone watching LPGA reruns?

Finally getting around to watching the final round of the Olympics. Again, how time flies. Lydia #1 in the world, and looking much like the Lydia of old.

Hee Young Yang? Forgot that the Olympic coverage used given names.

It would have been cool if Gerina had held on for a medal. She never quite got over her final round blues.

Lydia and Minjee have very similar wedge swings. Very flat footed.

Such an incredible performance by Inbee. Keep in mind that she was coming off an injury that many expected her to withdraw from the event.

I've watched some...sucks the the PGA Tour is back, yet we still have to wait another month for the LPGA...oh well

Watching the final round of the 2015 Meijer Classic. Lexi put on a driving clinic. When her driver was working, and her wedges cooperating, she was tough to beat. I remember watching her for a few holes at the KPMG a few years back. She was playing with Lydia, and on one hole she was easily 60 yds longer. If her putting ever got halfway decent she'd be in the hunt for World #1.

Rory McIlroy is current World No. 1 and he's been No. 1 for more than 102 weeks since 2012. his putting, arguably is worse than Lexi.

The reality is Lexi's driving is good, but her margin of "strokes gained off the tee" over fellow competitors hasn't been that huge. In my opinion, either Nelly Korda or Brooke Henderson are as good or better.

I can't say that I disagree lately. Lexi finished 2019 #72 in total driving. Nelly was #2, and Brooke #6.

A few years ago the gap was a bit closer, but Brooke and Nelly were still ahead of Lexi.

I would say Nelly is the better putter of the 3 and Nelly is also probably gaining more strokes putting than the other 2. Brooke can have a Lexi like putting day but mostly it's a net neutral part of her game.. Brooke's bad round may have bad putting stats but it can usually be credited with bad wedge play or bad driving with it that can overstate putting issues when the error was usually made a shot or 2 before the putts. Nelly and Brooke both seem to improving various parts of their putting each year where Lexi is still a hot or not sorta putter. Brooke can have a really bad putting day on Poa Annua when it goes sideways for her, just off the top of my head I remember 3 rounds of 36 or more putts per round on the surface, but I think that's something most can relate too lol. The one thing with Lexi, Nelly and Brooke and their overall ballstriking and wedge play, that when any of them have a hot putter coupled with exceptional ballstriking and wedge play it usually can result in a curb stomping for the field that week.

I don’t think so (and I hope not!). I think it was assumed there would be some cases, but by strictly controlling the number of people on site, cases can be identified, tracked, and quarantined quickly. As an example, the Korn Ferry tour had several cases last week and is playing again this week.

The Golf Channel and NBC will be showing the final rounds of the last four KPMG championships this Thursday through Sunday.

I can't watch SYR dump it in the water at Kemper Lakes again. In hindsight, that may have been her last great chance on a big stage. Even as a fan, I was surprised she outplayed SHP and Brooke for 34 holes on the weekend. Unfortunately, I think she jinxed herself by talking about the potential for the career slam before even having the third leg.

Ugh. That was brutal. I followed her group (w/ Lydia and Lexi) for a few holes on Friday that week.

So Yeon won her first major in Korea this weekend. She had some stiff competition. I think she's still more than capable of winning a few more majors. She just needs to avoid the sloppy bogie when it matters most.

I'll gladly watch Danielle's win at Olympia Fields again. It was a long time coming for the back-to-back USWA winner.

I forgot how frikin hot it was at Kemper Lakes in 2018. I walked over 36 holes on Friday at the KPMG, and then played eight rounds of golf the following four days. The heat index was over 100 for the duration of the tournament.

Nasa had a great charge on Sunday.

Lol. Watching the 2000 Open Championship at St Andrews. Tiger completed his career slam. ABC provided the coverage, and Judy Rankin was one of the on course reporters. OMG. I couldn't recognize her voice. She had a real southern drawl back then.

Watching the final round of the 2017 KPMG. I was surprised to see Ai Miyazato. I could have sworn she hung up the clubs more than three years ago. I always loved her uber slow tempo. It perfectly demonstrated that a fast backswing isn't necessary for good ballstriking.

Brooke left her eagle putt on the 18th an inch short. A playoff would have been crazy.

Finally getting around to watching the replay of the 2016 KPMG. That was a heck of a duel by Lydia and Brooke. Lydia was hitting every fairway, but couldn't make the putts when she had decent birdie opportunities. Brooke had that great eagle on her front nine when she holed a long putt from off the front of the green.

The KPMG doesn't get a lot of love relative to the USWO, ANA, and WBO, but it's provided a lot of drama over the past few years.

Watching the Evian this week was cool. That region of the world is one of my favorite places. It bleeds right into Switzerland with German influences. The mountains make it striking. But even better, the reruns end this week!
