Bag Boy push cart choice

Recommended Posts

FWIW I recently went through the same decision. Nitron didn't seem worth the extra $ just for the ease of opening. Went with the Compact 3 mostly because of the light weight. Too bad we can't actually go to stores anymore to compare directly. Finally figured that there was probably no wrong choice so why not spent the least.

Can't tell haha. I ordered the Compact 3 from Dallas golf and they sent the Quad XL even though that's not even offered on their website! Shipping sticker even says Compact 3 although box said Quad all over it.

Looks really nice, opens and closes easily once you get a bottom tension wire out of the way and move it below the release lever. Top lock system doesn't really work with my Titleist lightweight cart bag so have to use the included strap. Probably nicer than the C3 but I have no experience with a 4 wheel pushcart on the course.

Nitron came from clickgear just way to easy to unfold and fold...

Have the original Quad and it’s been a solid performer Bought it because it’s excellent with a stand bag or a cart bag..

Anymore on the compact 3. Is it easier or harder to push than the clic gear. I have the 3.5 and now it sages and a heavy bag scrapes the front wheel.

Probably. Read their negative feedback...it’s real. If a bid doesn’t reach a certain amount they’ll cancel and say they oversold while having 10 of the same thing still listed. All this while being a crappy seller in general.

On another note I had a BagBoy quad xl and it’s a really good cart. Sold it because I never walked but in light of recent situations I decided to buy another cart. Found a deal on a sun mountain micro cart (have a SM sync bag) and pulled the trigger.

played my first round with the nitron today and i can definitely say it is much easier to engage and noticeably lighter then the clicgear that i hadfor a short time.

played a very flat course today and it was very nice but saturday i'm playing my "home course" which is very hilly and what forced me to sell the clicgear, i found carrying my bag to be much easier on a hilly course compared to a push cart

hoping the lower weight will make it a keeper but i'm not sure.

  • 1 month later...

Does anyone here have a BagBoy C3 (Compact 3) push cart? I got one used since everyone is sold out of these push carts. But for the life of me, i can't figure out how to connect the two top straps. One side of the strap has a large velcro strap but the other side simply has a longer strap looped through a buckle. I thought someone may have swapped the straps on the cart so i called BagBoy and tried to order another set. They're out of stock but the lady on the phone told me that the replacement i was trying to purchase had two straps but only one strap had a velcro patch. The other side doesn't? But the customer service lady tells me you don't secure it with the velcro. So when i asked her how does it secure then, she wasn't sure? What am i missing? Can't be this difficult? I've searched online and can't find anything but reviews on the cart! I love the cart and will use a bungee cord if needed but now i'm on a quest to figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

I use to have a Bagboy quad and I m pretty sure you adjusted the straps to your desired length and there was Velcro on each one to secure your bag. If you have Velcro on one strap and not the other then your missing some Velcro. You can buy adhesive Velcro strips and maybe put it on the other strap then staple or sew it for extra security. That or remove the Velcro altogether and put a plastic clip buckle on the straps.

Thank you BiggErn for your help! Funny enough i just came from my garage where i just attached a velcro pad on the buckle of the side with no velcro. I actually sewed the end onto the buckle and viola, it worked. Yeah, I examined the bag very carefully and compared the bottom straps to the top straps and could tell where I was missing a piece of velcro on one of the buckles! So i went to work to Macgiver it! Not sure why the Rep at Bag Boy said that one side there is no velcro, there has to be once i saw how the bottom straps were functional.

Thanks again for the response! Ready to go to battle with the cart! Ha!
