Pitching wedge replacements

I recently purchased a nice set of Titleist 690mb irons 3-9 for a really good price, but I feel really weird not having a pitching wedge in the bag. The pitching wedge that matches the set, in similar condition, goes for like $80-90 which is almost as much as I paid for the other clubs. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type cheaper of 48-50 degree wedge I should put in the bag to fill the gap between the 9 iron and the gap wedge. Thanks

I think the max would be like $60 if the condition was nice enough

I'd bet you could find a used 48* vokey close to that price range. To get one in decent condition at that price, it would probably have to be an SM4 or SM5.

I was thinking about vokeys but I was just wondering if anyone on here has had any luck with other brands or models. I appreciate your suggestions

SCOR wedges would fit into your set really well. They're quite underrated and you can find them cheap most of the time.

Find yourself a TC 200 series wedge and you're gtg. Lots of Vokey options to fill this gap, shouldn't be hard to do.

Callaway Apex MB 2018 pitching wedge, muscle is nearly identical to the 690 MB. Soft, no nonsense, really a joy to play. It’s 47° so you may wish to have it bent back 1°.

Warning: playing the Apex MB wedge may entice you to purchasing an entire set.

I'd match whatever you're using for your other wedges (gap/sand/lob).

I’d look for a used vokey at that price point. That’s really the optimal answer, even though I’m just repeating what others have said.

A used vokey will work just fine. You don’t need super fresh grooves at 46-48 degrees in comparison to a lob wedge. Just make sure there’s still life in the club, don’t buy a cooked wedge
