Yer wassup im in england although im an aussie. But yeah im in bedfordshire. Off 5. And still playing through winter but its absolutely freezing. U guys gunna be goin to faldo series qualifying or even applying straight up.

Hey.

Nope, i am not playing through this winter and it looks like it will be a harsh one. Going to try and get myself down to Cat 1 by the end of next year. Hope to play on the Jamega tour after that.

Nope.

It will be a couple of years after next anyway, so when i'm about 18 i will.

All the events are local to me and i have played the majority of courses at least twice. 2 of them are my home courses.

Jamie from Hertfordshire! What you guys complaining about the weather for? Its great! Atleast we can still get out and play!

Last year as a junior though, so thought i would get this post in now! Im looking at the Jamega tour aswell......

So you pay around £200 to join and then £170 for EACH 2 day tournament? That seems a rip to me. Also no mention of prizes.

£1600 if you win ONE event.

Sorry for the late reply, the field was good. Some kid shot -1, i had a nightmare 82. I couldn't get close to making a putt inside 5ft.

i was at 6th form but hated it so i left before christmas, jus playin golf 5 says a week n worki 2. i'm gettin annoyed though cos there's not been a dramatic improvement yet. any advice on what to practise cos i know short game is the key but i ont know how to practice it. its fine standin on the range hittin wedge after wedge to the 100 marker but its a different scenario wen you're on the course. any advice would be good lads, cheers

Fair play for ditching 6 form, i truly believe in doing what you want to do and it takes balls to go against the grain :man_in_love:

 

As for the short game practice, i'd advise a couple of things.

 

1. Get yourself a routine that you can follow every day that will last maybe 1-2 hours but you need to break it up into 20 minute sessions e.g. 20 minutes of putting then have a break before moving onto 20 minutes of chipping. By doing that you will be able to stay focused and get the best out of your sessions.

 

2. Get some advice from your pro and take lessons regularly. Taking lessons helped me no end when i am trying to improve, you may find yourself taking a couple of steps back to take more forward, it's all part of the learning process.
