Low right miss. Shaft issue? LM numbers

So I hit the 6.0 px today and literally immediately at least doubled the trajectory and was hitting it on the middle. I worked on my swing for about an hour and a half but throughout whenever I'd pick up the 120s again it was inconsistent at best. I finally started hitting them ok at the very end but I had to slow down my transition a ton and I didn't feel like I could attack the ball in the least. Low right ugly if I did. I have a modus 105 wedge in my gap wedge I was hitting it just eye balling almost triple the height of the pw and it was still plenty playable. @Howard_Jones is right about adding weight to the head, but at this point I think if I add enough the shaft won't be able to handle the head at this speed and I can get a profile that will fit me better. I am thinking of just going back to project x, pxi, or Modus 130/spo.

Thanks for all the help!

Weight/balance point etc.... Can definitely cause big delivery issues. I have a similar result to your Modus experience whenever I try to hit a club with the Ping Tour shaft in it. Low line drive peeling right. It's crazy. Something about that shaft's profile hates my swing. I wish I could pin point the exact reason, so I could avoid shafts that carry similar profiles.

I have no hands on experience with PING TOUR, but its said to be a UST Element Chrome that is tipped a little, but how true that is...cant say, and i have not seen EI profiles for any of them, and cant find them either. This texts gives a hint.

"The tour 65 stiff Ping is like an elements chrome 6f4t which is kind of between a graphite design DI 6s and BB 6s, Speeder tour spec 6.3"

Here is how Tour AD Di and AD BB looks like, so its profiles like this your should stay away from, and that means TONS of shafts, since this profiles is quite common (plus minus). It might be the soft zone in the area of 14" to 16" inch, the "weak" butt section, or the very stiff tip section....probably the combination of them

If there is shafts you know you like and thats working good, tell what that is, bee it irons, hybrids or woods, then i can find the EI profile so you get to see what differences there is. That will explain what you want and dont want from the shafts profile.

Maybe...the major difference is the butt section, Blue board goes stiffer, the AD models goes weaker, but so does DG......

Here is BLUEBOARD

image.pngThe classic Dynamic Gold

image.pngAldila RIP Phenom is a whole different animal... again with a butt section that turns against weak, but tip side is very different then the ones above

image.pngPING CFS is a moderate profile, SOFT TIP ending into a soft butt section....

image.pngThis one was a hard nut case....i think you should look at the basics, Play length, Total weight, and over all balance (both the shafts bp, and the relations between Head, shaft and grip), this EI profile dont give a clear answer to whats "wrong", but its often hidden in the details like PL a tad to long, Total weight a tad to high or low, Head weight not tuned in etc, so go over specs on each club and see if you can find a "pattern" who can lead you to what really is the matter, the profiles dont tell.

900tours spin low. Always have been, I went down this path a bit ago. If I have any advice it’s focus on descent angle instead of spin and launch. Get those angles closer to 50 degrees on the 7 iron. Tips for that: more loft in the club (900tours are strong lofts), ball further forward in stand, lead tape.

Dont forget that we can simulate a higher shaft weight too, so before you just jump, try to add lead tape to the shaft with the same you plan to go up in weight (the difference). Just find the middle of the shaft and go equally in bot direction head to grip on the underside of the shaft so you dont see that tape from address. That will help you to dial in both the right shaft and head weight so when you are ready to change, you know where to go with both to make it work for you.

Thanks Howard, I will try that as well. I'm also going to order a couple of different individual shafts to test so I don't make another mistake. I honestly thought I'd like these because I thought the el was close to my driver shaft and I absolutely love it. Fuji motore speeder vc 6.1 x tipped about 3/4. It is probably a combination of the balance, swing weights, and just a profile I don't get along with. The project x I hit last night were 6.0s, so the weight should have been really close to the modus 120. I'm seeing a lot of 'hitters' have trouble with the modus 120.

I thought about it and I've had this issue to this degree 1 other time and it was with the grafalloy prolaunch red in a ping g10. But that was 15 years ago so I highly doubt the swing is the same as it was then.
