Moving from BCT 58 to Z cord

I need new grips and really struggling with the humidity here in Texas with older grips - going to get new grips this week.

I currently play 58 round Tour Velvet BCTs with 3 wraps total underneath. With Z cords being 60 round, how many wraps under the grip to make the same size?

Best to just plan on one extra wrap for the core size, but those grips feel different enough that you won't really know until you try. Z-cords are harder and will likely react a little different to build up.

yes tempted just to do my Driver and 6 iron this week and see then.

go 4 wraps, I am just scared to jump in to midsize as never tried a grip that big.

No need to be scared! As far as I am concerned, everyone should try the entire spectrum as it will only serve to further educate you on what does and does not work. Grips are relatively cheap and what you learn from experimentation is easily worth it.

You'll need 4 to 5 wraps and that will make the Z-Cord feel as hard as a rock.  When I played Tour Velvet Cord in .58, I used 2 wraps of double sided tape.  For the Z-Cord, I go with the midsize and a single tape. The Z-Cord feels a little smaller to me than other GP grips with the same core size.

I tried the z cords earlier this year and they were very skinny compared to the Tour Velvet.

In my experience, the butt ends of those grips are different.  The z grip has a big butt ( and I cannot lie) and more taper than the tour velvet style grips.

Yes i use standard size tour velvet on irons, but i use the midsize zcord on hybrids
