Not Getting Notifications

I have everything marked as I did on the old forum and not getting any notifications for example when there is a new listing on bst

Verify in your account settings by clicking name.  Seems to be working.

So, I'm having a similar issue.  I'm following the Classifieds and I'm fairly certain I have it set-up so I receive an email immediately when something new is posted.  I also just turned on the onsite notifications as well...I seem to get the onsite notifications, but no emails...

Emails have been an issue with the new board and I believe the site has probably have stopped them all due to volume. Some tweaking has already been done and there may be more to follow.

 

Seems like you CAN follow a forum here, as you're already doing with Classifieds, but I doubt you'll get "immediate" emails - just notifications. But if you look at your options for "following" I don't think you'll see one for an "immediate email".

I suspect you are correct with the emails having issues at the moment.

 

When I click on my profile, Manage Followed Content and then click on Forums...it does show "Immediate Notification", when I click to change it, it shows that a Notification and Email is sent when something new is posted.  

 

Oh well...all in good time...just have to be patient...

When I duplicate your effort and click on the "change the way" it takes me back to the notification preference where the only thing I see that MIGHT send a single email for THAT(?) followed content is "Only send one email notification for content I follow until I revisit the community". The other choices are 1 email per day or 1 per week.

 

I guess it'll sort itself out at some point.

What I have notice first it took couple days for my notifications to start coming thru but other thing is some of them show up in different areas of my email not just primary they will show up in important or even in other so also check thru your spam and other sections of emails

So my buddy was telling me he was getting his notifications immediately for the forums he was following.  He asked me the age-old question..."did you check your junk folder?" 

I said..."I always receive my GolfWRX emails...why would it be there?!"  

 

Guess what was in my junk folder.  Mystery solved for me.

Is this the same as notifications for followed content when logging in?

 

i thought I followed and set notification when something new is posted but when I log in, there are no notifications, yet when I goto the thread, there are new posts.

Your reply did not show up as a notification. I am following and “notify me of replies” is checked as well. FYI.

I have been getting notifications. Though some are delayed. Once we get the new servers online and if it is still not working, then you may need to investigate spam or your mail provider to whitelist GolfWRX.com emails.

maybe servers are busy. Lol. Anyways just wanted to bring it up in case some others are having the issue and it needs to be looked into further. Thanks @Gxgolfer @nsxguy

Ahhhhhhh, you're on a smartphone. I never remember smartphone users. When you "Follow" something, as in this thread, do you check the "radio button" next to "A notification when new content is posted" ?

 

What do your other "Notification Settings" look like (above these you've shown) ? 

 

Honestly I have no idea of why the servers might have a problem with "Notifications". I am getting all the notifications I'm supposed to and very quickly BUT on a desktop. Emails ? That I can understand. Still haven't seen a single one but I've now turned them all off.

May I assume you are NOT getting a red number in the upper right on top of those 3 horizontal bar in the upper right ?

I am not getting any, but I only have email notifications set.  Maybe I will change my notification paradigm for the time being to see how I like it.

But I wouldn't want one for every notification anyway. It'd clog up my email.

Sure and thanks.  Pretty good for an old fat lady.  I always thought +2 was as low as I would ever get, but this spring/summer has conspired to drive it lower.  Posting while putting to raised cups started it and my ball striking has improved.  Also while putting at home during shelter in place times I found a setup issue that has improved my stroke.  The final item is more rounds from longer tees.  I shot 70 from ~6150 yard tees the other day which yielded a -5.6 differential.  I have never done better than 68 from the forward tees at 5425 yards although the rating is 4.5 strokes easier. My home course and my game are the unicorns that break the USGA handicap system. LOL!

That is not a configuration controlled by GolfWRX on how your email provider categorized emails. That will need to be configured by the member.

Idk it’s set up exactly how it was from the old forum and since this new roll out they show up everywhere

Your email client (I use Yahoo) decides, based on various factors, where to put an email.

 

In Yahoo, AFAIK, the only 2 places an email would go is my "Inbox" or "Spam".

 

Most email clients have an option where, if you are reading a particular email that's in the wrong "folder", you can click on an icon at the top(?) of the email and click on another folder to place emails from this same address into a folder of your choosing.

 

e.g. if I get a wrx email in my SPAM folder, I can click on an icon that says "Not spam" and from that point on emails from wrx will go into my inbox.

I have tried multiple notification settings to no avail.  Is there a tutorial of some sort of I want to receive email notifications for PM and new Classified content?
