Mizuno JPX921 SEL

OK, first off...I'm very , very mad at all of you. Like, no one could have given me a heads up on these? Admittedly i used to know the market a lot better than i do now, as i'm a lot busier with work these days, so i will take some responsibility.

But still, i've dropped several hints that i was looking at maybe going back to a more players set, have talked about Apex Pros, ZX5's etc.... A simple heads up would have been nice, that a lefty only combo set exists!

Does anyone own these? Thinking of getting them with some T20 wedges.

Haha...not the sel, but I currently have the 921 tours. Only a couple of range sessions in. Hoping to get a round in on Monday, weather dependent.

Wonderfully thin top line. Soles have a progressive width to them. The long irons are really easy to elevate. I’m still adjusting to the thinner, flatter sole on the short irons. Might take a little time. On center contact they feel smooth. Not overly soft like mp20. More dense and solid. Pretty damn forgiving for this type of iron.

The SEL is a great set. Perfect forgiveness break with 4/5 iron being thicker. I’ve enjoyed the 6-PW for sure. They feel better than t100 to me. Only thing I’m considering at knocking them out is the zx7.

Have a set of the SEL on order. Hopefully within they'll come in within the week. Very excited for them.

I'm thinking of getting them with AMT whites.

My pro shop is supposed to get back to me Monday confirming i can order them. We don't have a Mizuno account but he said he'd order them for me

A longtime golf buddy of mine got a set in June. It’s the first set of irons he’s truly been happy with since he regrettably traded in his MP32 several years ago.

When I’m standing near him and he flushes one, it is pure bliss. Makes me want to get a RH version, even though i have no chance of playing them well.

From what i can gather the 4/5 irons are a lot more intimidating in the "tours". Which is the case most of the time with smaller clubs anyway.

I've always said, 7 iron and up most irons are very similar.

So it seems pretty ideal. 4 and 5 in the Forged and 6-GW in the Tours.

The ZX5/7's look really nice to do a combo set but the numbers make less sense to me. The 3-5 irons are 20-22-24 degrees which is kind of silly and adds little value IMO, plus there's no GW available with the set.

So the Mizunos make a lot more sense than the Srixons
