Phantom X 5.5 headcovers

i have a 11.5 and the cover seemed too big.  
too bad as I love Seamus

All I’ve tried are way too large. I had high hopes for the Vessel mallet because it’s real leather. I sent it back because it was way to big. I’ve been using a fake leather from Craftsman golf but the magnet strength is horrible and it is peeling on the edges. Why can’t someone make one that will fit that’s real leather with a strong magnet?

 I at least another have mentioned the PRG ones that are magnetic and that is what I have been using. 

I don’t want a Scotty OEM cover that screams Scotty inside to encourage light fingers anyway. 
What I did with a Wilson mallet cover was take it to a shoemaker with a couple of small but strong mallets. He stitched each magnet covered with leather. Looks great and actually does fit my Scotty if I ever needed.  And those magnets would never slide out as sometimes happens over time with magnetic covers.

These work on my 7.5, see no reason they wouldn’t work on the 5.5 either.  I used to own a 5.5 as well!

The Odyssey ones do work on the 5.5. I wasn't a fan though of the gapping from where the magnet is located...but depending on putter length if the putter cover rises higher than any bag rub contact etc. should be ok.  My putter is 34 and I recall that was an issue (for me).

It does leave a bit of a gap I agree. Not a deal breaker though as you mentioned.

I think I found what I’m looking for. Now I have to decide if I want to pay $150 for it.

As I said a few posts ago if you found a less expensive leather one you liked (probably without excessive inside padding?) you could pay a leatherworker/shoemaker a few more bucks (I paid less than $20) to stitch in strong magnets covered by his leather that aren't ever going to  slide around.

I have a Taylormade spider vault putter that fits mine, easy on and off and magnetic. Not cheap at £50 a cover though. 
 

How well do the PRG covers fit, the rounded ones? I want something smaller.

They are all I really have using for 3 yrs since day one.Ebay used to be a good source Suggest u buy a spare, the last time I looked at their  website it didn’t seem they were generating new styles other than some real hokey ones. Some new styles  are probably still produced for individual courses and events.  Suggest u use some clear shoe spray on mostly to keep it clean. This one has had many months of play. I usually use a black one fall and Spring.

I found the BIG TEETH Half Mallet Putter Cover ($19 on Amazon) to fit perfectly.  It features a magnetic closure.
