Cobra Driver Lofts

I usually play a 10.5 in Driver but found a really good deal on a 9.0 Radspeed XB. I know it can be lofted up to 10.5 I'm just a little concerned it will shut the face a lot on a driver that already looks pretty square. I could get away with this on Mizuno drivers in the past because they sat so open (st200 in particular) but any thoughts on the new Cobras with this?

To my eye the cobra sits a bit open and of all the oems I notice less dramatic face angle look when changing lofts with Cobra.

Yes the face angle will be a little closed going from 9.0 -> 10.5*. The other thing to consider is it will also be 1* upright from standard.

The Cobra's have a little more noticeable curvature to the face compared to many other brands. Not sure whether this would make it more or less noticeable that you've adjusted the loft and lie.

Cobra drivers have been using what they call "Smart Pad" to help keep the face angle in line when adjusting the adapters for loft changes. It's something done to the heel area so that when the club is soled, it shows in the same relative face angle as when the adapter is set neutral.

It works fairly well, but it's not perfect. Probably not quite as effective as the ASP that was used on the R11/R11s/R1 drivers by TaylorMade.
