Just got fit for the Gen4 driving iron yesterday (HZRDUS black smoke (80g), standard loft/lie), and I can’t wait for it to arrive. Never imagined I’d average 252 carry with an iron, let alone 270 total. Even toe hits carried 250, which was crazy. The thing is a cannon.

 

Light. Super soft feel. Feedback is very, very accurate. And its top line is so clean at address. Whereas other DIs look like fat, albeit smaller hybrids, this looks no different than any other iron in my bag (0311 P Gen3). Really looking forward to see how this thing changes my game.

How does this compare to gen2? I am kicking myself for dumping it after looking at old Arccos data.

Since I had the G1/2 DI, and now the G4/5, I would say the G4/5 is much more blade like with a narrower sole and less of a squatty appearance in the blade height.  The G4/5 is like a low offset thick blade iron.

I would like to see the X be extended into the 3, 4, 5 as well.  So easy to hit

My G4 and G5 are both 2* weak to fill a gap best.  Works fine.

I played the original DI and now the Gen4. Got it with the RDX black since I have a KBS proto shaft I can swap in anyways. 
 

New model is much more aesthetically pleasing but not losing a ton of forgiveness. I had mine bent to 19* to better for the set. Even with the stock shaft, I’m carrying 230-240 with it. It just launches a bit high for my liking, so I will probably swap the shaft this week. I need to bring the flight down so it’s more boring and I get some roll. 
 

Absolutely love the Gen4 DI.

Anyone who has reshafted happen to know the headweight? Just curious as I bought mine used.  Mine weighs 245 grams which seems on the heavier side.

Finally ordered my first PXG club a few weeks back and after 2 range and 1 round the Mizuno fli-hi has been booted from the bag. This thing is fantastic. Feels great, sounds great, and does not balloon like the Mizuno would from time to time. In comparison to the P790, T200, etc., this thing is a steal at $179.

1* strong / 1* flat

Smoke Black RDX 90-X

I purchased the gen 5 driving iron 2 weeks ago. They had the xtreme dark available with Ventus blue for no upcharge so I jumped on it. So far I love it. I ordered 1 degree strong and trajectory is very low. My driver swing speed is 113 ish and my carry with the driving iron is 240-245 with about a 65 foot apex.  Very small profile club comparable to the UDIs from taylormade.

Holy shot. So darkness gets you any shaft no up charge

I believe so. Ventus is sold out but ADDI was available last I checked.
