I personally disagree with the rating of Pebble and believe it to be much easier that stated. 

 

I didn't see it from the tips, but I sure saw a lot of it from the golds.  I have to say, if I were a pro, yes, this is too low on Pebble because those boys from their tees will be significantly further along than I am.  The par 5s, by modern standards are shorter than average, the protection of the course (and correct me if I am wrong P48) is the green size and the slope.  Nowadays, bunkers aren't a deterrent so a pro won't have to worry about the ocean, they just slap it into the bunker.

 

If I were playing from the tips, this is accurate because I would be punished trying to come in from those distances to those small greens.  Then again; fat, old and stupid is no way to go through life, but dang it, its my path.

Correct - the small greens and being on the wrong side of the green/hole are really the only defense. And these guys are so long and then good w/ the shorter irons anymore that the green size is not an issue.

Okay could someone please tell me who the $%#@ McClure is??? I have no idea where I got this guy from. Only guys I could find are a Senior Tour guy and an odds guy and couple other college dudes. And I looked at odds guy and didn't use his site. Sometimes I look at couple odds sites not his though. Weird. And has anyone seen my keys??

I believe you must have typed "Power" and it auto-corrected to McClure.  Happens.  I think you should get Seamus Power and just call it a day.

We played the lovely Hawaiian islands and then returned back to the mainland and had 3 tournaments in the beautiful state of California. It is once again time we move on to a new state. Adios gorgeous Monterrey Peninsula and hello Valley of the Sun. Let's go get a little rowdy in Arizona for the second week of February. This week it's the Waste Management Open from TPC Scottsdale.
