Mizuno wait time?

I just heard pro orders (custom only right now) are planned 6 weeks right now. Also we tried to order a stock set to just get the heads earlier and they said no stocks on the 221 custom only.

My fitter says my order of JPX 921 Forged, placed on April 2, should arrive by the end of the week. AAAAHHHH!

Called Mizuno again today, was told 4/5 orders are currently being built, and was told my order from 4/7 should be built and ship out late next week.  Looking at a possible 10 week wait.

Man, makes me think of the good old days when one could get their custom clubs in 5-7 days… and have them sold 5-7 days later.

If you are getting KBS shafts you will be waiting for a while yet. My guy told me that he was told that there will be very limited supply through the end of 2022 for any KBS shaft

Got Project X LS in mine, just was told they are still trying to catch up with orders made in early April.  I was told most orders are still in the 7-9 week window depending on head / shaft make up.

My 4/1 order arrived yesterday 5/31. JPX 921 Forged Modus 115X 4-PW standard loft/lie. Had the pro at club check loft/lie and all lies off .5 to 1 degree. He corrected then hit the range and they felt great.

After being told my shafts (Nippon PM3 x120's) would arrive May 31, 2022, I was advised today by CC that the shafts are now scheduled for delivery June 30, 2022.  They have the clubheads and the grips - just only one of 7 shafts.

 

April 4, 2022, order date.

 

Tried to cancel order.  They refused. The invoice they gave me says within six weeks.  Lesson learned.  Won't go to them in the future.

gotta imagine that canceling wouldn’t get you delivery any quicker than sticking with this order?  In any case, I’d continue pestering them (and maybe their corporate office), using cancelation as a cudgel. You might be able to wring a discount or some freebies out of them.

At this point, the people on the phone are so uncertain as to whether they will even have the shafts on June 30, I would rather just continue with my present clubs until all of this is sorted out.  I completely understand the back order is not their fault, and had they simply refunded the money, I probably would have gone back in November assuming things were more predictable then.

 

Now, I just don't want to deal with them anymore.  And I don't want to be held hostage to their misrepresentations.  When I got fitted, I specifically asked if there would be any issues getting the shafts.  I specifically avoided KBS shafts because I knew they had issues.  They told me no issues and said would be ready in six weeks.

Called Mizuno this afternoon to check on an order placed April 6, and was told they'd shipped out today. Steelfiber i110 stiff shafts, gray MCC Plus-4 grips are the components.

I received my 223’s with the nippon 120x’s within 9 weeks if it is any consolation.

They’re here!  Ordered 921 Forged with Modus 105 stiff on April 2, shipped May 31, arrived at fitter on the west coast June 1. Just hit my first bucket with them. They’re a joy.

Picked up my clubs (ordered 4/1) Wednesday they were shipped to my fitter on 5/31. 
 

Haven’t had a chance to hit them yet but I’m jonesing hard.

I ordered Hot Metal Pros 4iron thru gap wedge on 4/5.  I called Mizuno last week, and they told me all the components were in stock and should expect delivery sometime between June 6th and the 10th. I called again today, and they said the 4 iron club head is now on back order, and the earliest I could expect them is the end of June. They did say if Golftec would change the order on their end, I could get the 5 iron - gap wedge in about 1-2 weeks, and the 4 iron would arrive separately. I can’t wait to be finished with this thread.

I guess considering the fact that they can't keep up with orders of the 921 as it is, we shouldn't expect to see their replacement until next year sometime? Wavering on ordering the hotmetals now or waiting to see what's new.

I would expect to see a 923 sometime in ... 2023. And if you're in a hurry to play this summer, I'm not sure the wisdom in ordering now, unless you're just smitten with the 921s.

Hit the 6month wait mark for 225 with Modus 115x.  2 screw ups from Mizzy along the way.  "rush" order from last screw up end of April with still no movement on the build.  Been a long time mizuno player, but this has left a bad taste...some of it is understandable.  Sorry to vent.

I had a set of Modus 120x’s ordered and delivered in 10 days. I feel like either supply chain is really inconsistent or certain builders get preferential treatment.

Called Mizuno on Friday. They said they’re working on orders placed on 4/20. I ordered on 4/22 so getting closer.

Mine placed on 4/24 🙂 -- FINALLY
