Another Sunday, and another chance for a dozen plus players to pick up at win, with seven looking for their first win. Sixteen players within 5 shots of the lead is going to make for another tough day for the Golf Channel crew. Lol.

I was watching when Nellie made that putt & immediately thought there was something wrong about it & I wouldn't have been surprised that might be revisited by the officials.  In the scorers tent Nellie was told about the penalty the officials thought was warranted.  They ruled it a penalty, then a little later they changed their minds & did not penalize her.  She was careless when she made that stroke & got lucky. I think some would've given her a penalty stroke.

Very little about Nelly's near-penalty online (i wasn't watching it 'live').

Looks to me Korda had no intention of hitting the putt.

 

Rather she rested the putter behind the ball and then "back handed" it in.

I hope somehow Hye Jin Choi can pull out a win.

 

She's been playing so much and consistently as well. It would be great to see her get a 1st win.

Is it Atthaya's hot putting, or overall tee-to-green game, that contributed more to her 61, and made it seem like she's playing a different course vs her competitors on Saturday?

Was also impressed to see this stat w.r.t. Yuka Saso
(whose swing= really looks like Rory McIlroy's?):
"Yuka Saso averaged over 300 yards off the tee on Friday in Arkansas The major champion is leading the Tour this season in in strokes gained off-the-tee per round (+0.94)."

I like Thitikul's aggressive game as well.

 

She is just a great ball striker and when her putter behaves, she can definitely win more tournaments.

Yeah, Muni has to be the biggest surprise. She's averaged 2.5 birdies per round this year, but has averaged 5.5 this week. She ranks 177th in CME points, and definitely needs a good finish this week if she wants to avoid Q-Series. 

 

Lots of drama in these late season events as players struggle to climb the CME points ladder. A handful look like they'll earn enough points to keep their cards, but at the same time it pushes another player out of the Top 100.

I would think Pornanong Phatlum being the leader would be the biggest suprise..

She's been on tour for nearly 16 years.. never won  (I think)..

 

Been a long time since hearing her name..

Stating the obvious, but Lilia needs to play a little better on Sundays. Once again in contention, but even par doesn't cut it. 

 

Big mistake by Pornanong. That double pretty much sealed it for her. Nice to see her contend, though.

Yeah, it's pronounced Titikun. There was a thread a few months ago that went into excruciating detail about the pronunciation. Lol.

Well played. You sink a 20+ footer, and the win is well deserved. She didn't have a great round, but Jeeno looked unflappable. Very likely locked up the RoY award. 

 

Shame that one player had to settle for 2nd. Very emotional day for Danielle. Glad to see her back at the top.
