Balls The Tiger Feel (Bridgestone BXS)

As season starts shutting down around me, with the high today @ 40* I'm starting to move to thinking about winter practice. This usually involves far more putting than anything else, and I've found that I really enjoy the feel of the BXS ball off the putter more than any other ball I can remember. 

 

That said it is not my ideal ball off of other clubs as I'm a high spin player. I've looked at compression charts and tried the Maxfli tour, prov1, and the vice pro, and of course the BX,none of these have the same dense solid feel that the BXS has.

 

I'm curious if any other wrx member has any recommendations I haven't thought of or a similar circumstance where the ball that felt the best wasn't the best fit and what you did.

A ball feeling extremely similar in terms of density feel to the Bridgestone BXS is hard to find. Snell MTB Black feels really similar and has similar performance to the BXS. At least for me.

"Feel", which is really sound, off a putter is so specific to the player and to the type of putter you use that it's going to be a trial and error process to find a ball that "feels" like BXS. It's not going to have anything to do with "compression" because when you're putting (especially short putts indoors) you are not compressing the ball at all. Ideally you could get your hands on single balls of a zillion different types, just to narrow them down by hitting a few putts with each. But not sure how to do that.

Might want to try the AVX.  I toyed with the BXS this year and thought the two balls were the closest to feel with each other than any two other balls. 

 

If you are a high spin player you might really want to give it a try.

 

With that said, I found the Bridgestone line to be oddly inconsistent. I had at least 3 or 4 bizarre outcomes with well struck shots. I don't trust their balls at all.

Have you tried a Tru-Feel?

Thanks for the feedback and recommendations so far, I know feel is so subjective but it is a forum after all lol. 

 

I have tried the old AVX but not the current model, I'll find a sleeve and give them a go. 

The Tru-Feel is a form of surlyn for the cover I believe? I haven't tried it but I would be concerned it's taking the whole bottle of medicine when a pill is the dosage on the spin lowering. I'll check them out as well though since I believe sleeves are readily available of them.

I’ve always liked BXS off the putter too. I describe it the same way:  dense. 
 

So far, to the best of my recollection, the 2018 version of TP5X felt the closest. I haven’t played TP5X in a while so I don’t know how similar they are now. I’m sure there are more similar, but that’s the one that stands out most to me.
