Glendale AZ as a single in March 2023

Hey all - first time traveling to Arizona (going to bring the wife to a Taylor Swift concert). I will likely be the only golfer traveling. I would have time for a round on Friday March 18th and Saturday March 19th in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions of places I should try to get an early time as a single? Is it even worth bringing my clubs for one or two rounds?

Yes - it would be worth bringing  - the courses will be perfect, so it would be disappointing if you did not have your sticks.

As for courses - that will be top of the peak with everything going on.  But if you are going to stay out on the west side here are your best choices:  Verrado (either or both courses), Sterling Grove, Vistancia and Quintero.  Verrado and Quintero will give you the desert golf experience; SG and V will just give you good courses (but among houses).  Quintero being a bit of a drive, but it is a visitor favorite.

There are lower tier options - but if you are going to spend money playing golf March, you should 1) have your own clubs and 2) just pay the bit extra for the better courses.

You could also head out towards Scottsdale and play some of the better courses there as well if you want.

If you can provide your budget and preferred driving distance (plus where you are staying) - it would help for providing guidance.

Is it worth it? I can't really answer that for you.

Looks like you're in Connecticut (?) so I doubt you'll have played a lot of golf leading up to March. For me, I'd definitely want to play if travelling to some place warm. However, as another poster mentioned that is going to be peak season so expect to fork over a lot of $$$ for golf. Two morning rounds on decent courses will easily set you back $500-600 or more.

I booked Friday at AK Southern Dunes (6:54am) if anyone wants to jump into that. I also booked Saturday 8:10am at We-Ko-Pa on the Saguaro course, but that seemed to be with another threesome, as it was the only time in the morning I could book. Pretty excited to get out of the simulator and onto the course this early in the season coming from New England.
