Strange Superstitions

Anyone have any superstitions that may seem odd to others? Lets hear them!

 

I always carry three balls in my pocket for a round. If I lose one I promptly fish out another from my bag.

Thats probably about as superstitious as I get.

i can not use a mixed bag.

 

If i am playing Titleist stuff, i have to use everything Titleist, including my shoes ( footjoy) , hat , ball, clubs, bag, divot tool, putter, everything must be Titleist.

 

Same with TaylorMade or Callaway. I don't know if it qualifies as superstitious, but it is just as bad.

i always keep two quarters and a euro with the irish harp (from my girlfriend), my divot tool and three tees in my right pocket while i keep one extra ball in my back right pocket and either a pencil or golf tee behind my right ear...rather asymetrical i guess

I never really thought about this till I saw this post. Always have an extra ball in my left front pocket and one tee and divot tool in my right.

I never ever tee a #1 marked ball up :drinks: I just can't hit a decent drive with these....I even ask to switch out the 1's in the boxes when I buy :dntknw:

 

White tees ONLY and an ancient italian 500 lire coin for ballmarker.

I always try and play with ones and twos. Last thing I want to do when putting is look at a three. How anyone can play with an eight I just don't know. Strikes me as tempting fate.

 

I also used to mark my ball on the green with a 20 pence piece. When I put the marker down, if it was a head up I felt like I would hole it and if it was a tail, I felt like I wouldn't. Couldn't cope with that, so now I use a marker.

That's :dntknw: . What if the Yes putter was the best putter in the world by some margin, but they don't make any other clubs? You wouldn't even contemplate using it? Having said that I was full titleist for a while. It also means you can't use those lovely Scratch irons because they don't do drivers. :drinks:

If I am going to hit a tee shot with any other club than a driver (spoon, iron), I have to tee the ball with an old tee that I've found at that tee box. If I can't find any, I feel I am going to flunk the shot.

 

Fortunately, there is almost never any shortage of broken old tees in the box. After the shot, I always throw away the tee: I cannot keep it for the next hole :dntknw:

Playing like crap and the collar goes up?? the collar is always up and the hat is always backwards and a cpl tees, divot tool and a marker(maybe a scorecard and pencil during a tourney) is all i carry in my pockets

I only use light brown tees as white symbols out of bounds. I also always carry with me a saltire marker. If I'm playing a four round event I also use a #4 on the first day, #3 on the second and so on until I use a number 1 on day 4.

have to have my canadian 2 dollar coin to mark my ball on the green, and nothing goes in the left front pocket, nothing.

This season before each practice or competition with my school i would listen to the same exact song (pump it by the black eyed peas)on repeat for as long as it took me to get to the course. when i have a really long practice i listen to my ipod and my routine is always putting, chipping, range, chipping, and then putting again.
