Is Mevo+ 2023 Worth Upgrading

Hey guys wanted to get your thoughts - I purchased the Mevo+ prior to the release of the new 2023 model, still in the shrink-wrap, which was delivered about 2 weeks ago. So I'm within my time period to return.

 

Then of course the new 2023 model was announced and I'm contemplating returning and getting the new one plus paying any difference.

 

I just wanted to clarify some things - the main updates are the kickstand, improved battery life, and the included software. Am I missing anything there? Are there any actual updates to the unit that would improver performance of the monitor?

 

My initial lean was to just keep the one I have and pay for the software if I want to. I will use the unit exclusively indoors so power is not an issue, and the stand I'm guessing I can dial it in and keep it right where it needs to be. 

 

Anything else I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

I looked into this and couldn't find any evidence of changes to the electronics except for "better battery life." I have to assume this is due to either software tweaks or a higher density battery or both. So I went with the older version rather than the 2023, saving $200 in the process.

Mevo 2023 includes FS Golf for PC, and the expanded e6 license.  That alone is worth $200

You can get that for $150 for the previous version.

$150 for E6 and $100 for FSgolf for PC, so $250. I emailed them a few times for a combo deal but they wont budge. Not treating the loyal customer so well :(. We got them to where they are but it seems we are forgotten. What worries me is that any further software/firmware updates in the future will cost us more like this update for the new ones..Not talking about the PRO package as that was not part of the original Mevo+ purchase. The more affordable launch monitor is getting pricey.

Not having to mess around to get it to 12 degrees tilt is worth a fair bit too IMO.

Can't use the FS Golf for PC and will never have use for the e6, so not worth $200 for everyone. 😉

The PC version is free with Pro package purchase, past or future.

$150 for the extra iOS courses?  Do you know what they were?

It's $150 for the extra iOS courses and a PC license for the same 10 courses as iOS, if I read it correctly.
