I woke up this morning realizing I don't cook, haven't made a meal for 23 years.  I realized I don't watch sports on TV, and haven't really for about 15 years.  I realized I don't really fly fish anymore, unless it involves a trip.  I realized I could never be an actor.

 

I thought I would take up another hobby, something beyond golf.  So this morning i thought, I hear about TikTok challenges so I thought I would download it.  Well, the MT legislature just made TikTok illegal effective Jan 1, 2024.  Now what?  Where will I get my up and coming trends to try out?  Apparently, TikTok will get fined $10,000/ day for each infraction of Montanans downloading the app.  Throw in the tribal lands which are technically seperate nations, and I think Xi has an issue on his hands.

 

I did get a call this morning from China though.  He asked through broken English, since he couldn't hack my phone about my handicap, how am I doing in my golf fantasy league, and if I had any videos of cats playing piano?

 

I am in a rut so deep I could hang posters, but I do feel safer after our esteemed representatives took on the important issue of private use of an app.

What was the allure for you guys when you started to golf?

As a kid my mom would let me skip school on dentist days, and I bet around 8 years old she would kill the time by taking me to the range.  (My grandpa was my dentist, and I have weak teeth but he was sure I wasn't brushing, so he would give me fillings without novacaine to teach me the importance of brushing.  Is that child abuse?  Not sure, but I still don't love the dentist so it did have an affect on me)  She would get me a bucket and I would try to hit them as far as I could.  My buddy started golfing because his dad was a big golfer at around 13 years old, and we would goof on him about how dumb it was.  We were playing hockey, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, just about anything but golf.  At 16, his dad said he had to get better if he wanted to keep playing at the CC so he recruited us to go.  It was $3.00 to play 9 holes at the muni, and it was pretty fun.

I remember one time we only had three and an older gentleman was paired with us.  We had never played with anyone, and the guy who had played with his dad would tell us the rules, but we didn't listen.  On #3, its a par 3, two of us are hitting off the tee simultaneously because, well why not?  Our new playing partner indicated this was not appropriate for a golf course.  Hmm, I guess our buddy told us that, but we didn't listen.

Anyway, I didn't really start playing until college.  I would skip class before our home games and walk 18 to clear my head.  If I didn't have something to do I would just sit and stew, waiting for the game, and I didn't play well.

My favorite part of the game is a well struck iron.  The one that makes a little sound, feels like nothing, and flies with a slight draw.  I didn't start doing this until college, and never had lessons, but that was the feeling that got me hooked.

Anyone else?

Yes that was child abuse by doctor Grandpa. I might of thought about getting even with him later in life. 😂 That must have been some uncomfortable sh* t having fillings without getting a shot to numb your mouth.  LOL hitting simultaneously off the tee.  Funny, but y'all didn't know better.

Nothing on the side except a double mocha. I typically eat light for breakfast with enough protein to hold me in good stead on the course.

At the risk of telling you how to roll DMM, (but I feel we are close enough that you won’t take it the wrong way 😊) some complex carbs would go a long way in helping you in the sustained energy dept. out there ⛳️ But the protein, ✔️👍🏼
