He was soooo good at every part of it, it was hard to belive they put on such a good live show, since Trent did everything for the albums himself.  

 

I kind of gave up on nails once he got sober, just wasn't the same.

LOL, love that guy! 😍  We aren't talking about a cover band at a local bar where singing along is expected and encouraged but I am completely at a loss why someone would pay $500 to hear any group and then do what they can do in their car, living room or shower for FREE. While I happily paid $300 - $750 in the last 5 years to hear Henley, York, Keenan, Crow, Bonamassa, Rezner and Gibbons you can't pay me enough to listen to the guy/girl next to me drowning out those on stage. 

... I'll add the idiots that Whoop and Hollar at the beginning of a tune. I drove down to Indy from Chicago to see Joe Bonamassa and those red neck idiots would be making such a racker, Joe asked them 3 times to keep quiet when playing an acoustic solo. Evidently it's the difference between Chicago and Indy, when Joe held his fingers to his lips shushing the crowd one fat azz shouted "stick your finger up your azz!" and was simultaneously boo'ed and cheer'ed by the intelligent and ignorant. They would also stand and take drink orders from friends in the middle of a song, talking like it was halftime at a Colts game.

... While I understand the comparison, 1st I never frown. 2nd I have hair. 3rd if the lead singer asks the audience to sing along it ain't a concert I've been to but since we are evidently going low, I am sure your punk bands love the audience to join in since they can't sing. 🤪

Speaking of which ... gotta learn this drum part (We mash it up with "Oh Marie"). Aren't many I struggle with but this one's been tougher to nail down than most. The great Brooks Wackerman *IS* one of my very favorites and I wanna do him justice so I don't wanna fudge any notes. There's no single part that's individually tough but for some reason, haven't been able to bring it all together just yet.

El Cortez is awesome. Another rad downtown reno is the Golden Gate - on the southwest very end of Fremont across from the Plaza. They did a stellar job making it modern but still has the old school charm. Love that spot.

... My son talked me into betting on golf. Not something I was interested in until I looked it up and thought why not? Betting $20 a game on the Bears to cover the spread and make $17 ain't very good odds. But I bet $5 each on Korda/$75, Grant/$100 an Rouning Yin/$175 so $15 to win $75 - $175 seems like a lot more fun. If I had bet $5 on each of them all of 2023 I would be quite a bit ahead. Pretty scary because I am just a few bets away from turning into Phil Mickelson!  😱

Haha Both Hoss and Sampson are from Boise and grew up singing in church. Rob's background is similar - grew up here in a Catholic family. Also singing in church. 

 

They're all LITERALLY choir boys 😂

I don’t sing along at concerts because I generally don’t know the lyrics.  However I have been to a few where the audience participated on certain songs with the band/singer and it was enjoyable, now this is where I agree with Chisag, if it’s not 1 of those songs please shut up!

... 👍 Every time an artist has asked the audience to join in they usually step away from the mic, and more often than not hold the mic out to the audience. Clearly it is designed for participation and enjoyable for everyone. I have never sung along but enjoyed those that did.

<Interruption> For a split-second, I actually thought about buying this item from Japan.  I'm fairly confident in saying that no one here will know what the heck ULTRASEVEN is all about or, at least, won't admit to it.  The show was a big part of my childhood, particularly during the summer vacations in Hawaii.  I'd definitely get laughed at if I showed up at golf courses with this.  SEVEN!  SEVEN!  SEVEN!  SEVEN!  SEVEN! </Interruption>  Ok, back to your normal programming.

... Well after thinking I was all clear, my GV60 has been recalled. It seems they are recalling every single GV60 manufactured before February 2023. There have been 5 rear axel failures worldwide, 3 in Korea and 2 in Germany but none in the US. Parts won't be here til early September and they need to keep mine about a week. Obviously a precaution only because if they thought it was an immediate safety issue we wouldn't be driving them. At least I'll get a nice Genesis to drive while it's being worked on.
