I thought I was done with buying putters, but the Versa alignment scheme really tickles my brain in the right way. I've always aligned my putter by squaring the face/putter head to my line, so it just makes sense to me. I had the original #1 and only moved on because I wanted a heavier putter.

I picked up the #1 and can't stop playing around with it, so it's going in the bag this year. Looks fantastic behind the ball, sets up beautifully square, and swings nicely with the Stroke Lab shaft.

I just hope the paint holds up better this time around.

The top sight-line and versa alignment is a great combo. But is anyone else confused about why the new large mallet introduced in this Versa lineup (i think the ‘twelve’) doesn’t follow the normal versa color scheme? Kinda weird for them to market the benefits of high contrast *vertical* multi-color scheme, and then not follow that scheme for one of the putters in the lineup. It’s literally just a white sight-line on a black putter, nothing ‘versa’ about the twelve lol (still looks very easy to line up though don’t get me wrong)

The original versas had a version of the 7 with that type of scheme.

The GOAT - IMO. As soon as it comes in slant neck, I am back in. Just bought the new Versa 12 since it is the closest thing.

I have an original 1w, hate how it looks, reminds me of a skunk…..always looking to replace it with something better looking, but the damn thing just makes more putts for me.  I contemplate refinishing it, but fear that it will ruin the magic….don’t get one, it’s almost embarrassing to pull the head cover off of the thing.

Can anyone help explain the difference between the Odyssey Eleven and Versa Twelve? (I'd be looking at the DB face balanced versions)

Shape is the biggest difference.

I'm the exact same.......called it Pepe le Pew after the cartoon skunk.  I've owned spiders, scotty's, betti's, evnroll's, piretti's and more.  Always go back to Pepe to make more buckets.  Got it on here for $80.

The versa 7 is the best version of the 7 they’ve ever done. The squared off flange is great for alignment and looks great. The weight hollowed out of the fangs is interesting too. You’d think it would play like a double wide without as much weight back but it really doesn’t. With the lighter fangs it also sits better and doesn’t want to fall back. I find it sits super square, especially for a 7 (which don’t tend to sit great).

I ended up buying the 20 gram weights (god I'm a sucker) and switching to the Iomic Absolute X grip, which is 65 grams. With the 30 gram butt weight, this got the putter to around 540 grams total weight and D2 swingweight. I ordered my putter at 33.75", and if you have any experience with Stroke Lab shafted putters, it can be a bit tricky to get the weight/swingweight where you want it with shorter putters. I think because of the balance point of the shaft and the counterbalancing, the normal swingweight math for grip weight and head weight changes doesn't really work. Even going with a super light grip didn't move the needle much. Changing the headweight definitely did.

Anyway, this setup is perfect for me. The total weight is dead on what I wanted, and the SW is perfectly natural in my hands. This is a winner.

I'm not sure about the Toulon weights, but they're the same weights as the Tri-Hot. The Toulons look vaguely different, so I probably wouldn't get those.

These are the ones I have:

Has anyone added length to the stroke lab shaft on these? I was thinking about lengthening my 7--I have a tri hot TW at 36" and I like that length but the Versa 7 head better. I was wondering how that might affect the weighting and feel etc. considering how different these shafts are. I'm almost wondering if just reshafting it would be the better move.
