Yes, they're!

My No. 1 hope is that they stay inside Top-30 until team is announced sometime in August 2023.

Yep at that juncture you just gotta pick who is playing the best at that time .. hoping Corpuz can leap J Korda in the rankings to get in safely, if she does not get in on her own merits. J Chang could get in, Lucy Li a possible sleeper

Are they ignoring the fact that Corpuz moved ahead of Ewing on Rolex two days before this was posted?

ETA - Forgot what month it is. This from February.

@Whoa Nelly

Annie and Yealimi needs to earn 180 Solheim points in the next 20 tournaments to have a chance; that means:

  1.      Win 3 times, or win 2 times including a Major
  2.      Six 2nd (or T2)
  3.      Ten 10th (or T10)

Therefore, their chances are slim to none; because none has done similar things before.

could still get in with a captains pick .. Annie is forgotten, but if Yealimi plays well enough, she has a pulse.

Maybe you're right:

Arizona on tap to host 4 more golf events in 2023

"Top-ranked Lydia Ko and fifth-ranked Minjee Lee are not on the entry list but the rest of the tour’s big names are, including the Korda sisters (Nelly and Jessica), Danielle Kang, Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, Sei Young Kim, Jennifer Kupcho, Stacy Lewis, Anna Nordqvist, Yealimi Noh and Atthaya Thitikul."

Other than Nelly, Danielle, and Lexi.. That's pretty weak group.

Luckily, it's just solheim and not the international crown..

Personally I find Lilia Vu to be anything but weak, she's been pretty steady since last season, not to mention her win this year. She might not be a stone cold killer, but I'd rather see consistency like hers over Kupcho or J. Korda.

I have to agree with you on that.

Maybe we should replace some of them with Lydia Ko, Jin Young Ko, Atthaya Thitikul or Brooke Henderson!

But, we can't!

I understand..

I think they should change the format to Europe vs Americas (North America and South America)..  This way we can add Brook and few of the players from down south (can't think of any right now.)

Nah just Brooke, but "America's" is more inclusive sounding 😂

The US team is improved but not as much as the European team who is playing on home soil this time 😞

Intl Crown I'm confident w Nelly, Lexi, D Kang, Vu

Gotta look at who can play match play and who can't.

Some may qualify who just don't deliver in a match play environment so don't select them - there will be one or two on both sides.

Ironically, Stacy was not a star in much of her Solheim play (5-10-1),  but I think she will be a terrific captain.  She doesn’t shy away from tough questions and answers thoughtfully when she speaks - not just gibberish and euphemisms.  She’s a good spokeswoman for the LPGA.

Absolutely.

I was surprised when I checked Stacy's Solheim record a few year's back. She was asked this week if she may want to be a playing captain as she is playing well in Arizona and apparently 'just giggled'. She shouldn't.

Some player's just revel in match play (Leona) some don't, Lexi (6-6-7 Solheim, not terrible but 0 points gained).
