Dynapower is legit!

Well I've tried a lot of drivers trying to kick the og sim outta the bag. So far I've hit the aerojet, g430 lst, paradym triple d, srixon zx5, and dynapower carbon. If I were to choose one right now, it'd prob be dynapower carbon. More forgiveness then paradym and right there distance wise. I would say paradym feels the best of the bunch and dynapower 2nd. I haven't hit stealth 2 or tsr yet but I've gotta say, the dynapower was keeping up with or past the paradym triple d and the dynapower had an awful shaft in it for me. Be interesting to hit it with a decent one. Kudos to Wilson but not sure how many will ever know how decent of a driver Wilson has now.

Did you try the ZX 5 LS or regular?

 

I picked up a LS 9.5 about 10 days ago after doing a fitting, ended up with best numbers with stock PX black gen 4.  Was playing a G425 LS which was good, and had a Sim2 before also, but the new Srixon gave me some really good numbers, and it carried over to the course, have had 4 great rounds of driving the past 2 weekends.  Center strikes are great, but where it shines for me are miss hits, this head is very forgiving.

 

But I must say, almost everybody's clubs look good to me this year, but  tried the Srixon because of their $100 trade in bonus, so far so good.

What loft Dynapwr carbon did you try?  Some have reported lower launch w/ it and wondering if it's similar to TSR line w/ some suggesting to bump up a degree.  Appreciate any insight.

I hit the standard zx5, the face was just too firm feeling for my liking. Very cobra like and consistent tho, really looks good.

I hit the 10.5 but turned down one. It really reminded me of a hotter sim. It looks good, I couldn't look at the paradym after hitting the dynapower, it really looks good and frames up great against the ball.

Did you try it with the watered down non-velo blue? And you had better results than others? That's almost blasphemy here 🤣 Wish Wilson just went with some common project x or mitsubishi ones..

Literally every PX shaft they have available (which is by my count, is 5 variants) are all no upcharge...

But those ones at retail stores were all non-velo ones... I don't think I will buy Wilson driver at full price. However, I would be highly interested if they go on sale like D9 driver a couple of years later (currently D9 is sold at $200 but without customizing option). Then, I'm 99% sure the available shaft will be non-velo only...

The standard non-velocore Ventus is a fine shaft.  Maybe it doesn’t fit you but that doesn’t make it trash.  Ian from TXG is playing a non-velocore Ventus last I heard and he has access to any shaft imaginable.

I wouldn't call it trash. It's just like you said, not great for me.

No he’s not, unless it changed after that G430 Max vid. Non-TR, but still Velocore. 
 

Played the non-velo in a Sim for a bit, and I kinda liked it. I’m sure it’s a perfectly fine shaft, but obv quite different from the real thing.

The ZX5 LS is a different animal compared to the standard.  If you were looking at the g430 LST, the ZX5 LS is much more comparable.  I played the 410 and 425 LST and liked them, didn't like the standard Ping heads, like night and day for me.

 I saw some ok spin numbers with the standard zx5. It seemed very cobra like, even the standard runs a little lower on the spin side and firmer face. I'll be trying the LS and see what that looks like.  I generally have more luck taking a standard version head and lofting it down and open to achieve the numbers/flight I like.

Both models of the zx5 are probably my favorite looking drivers this year. Having had a chance to look at quite a few drivers this year, I'd say the paradym got uglier and uglier really fast.

I tried out a whole bunch of fairway woods at PGA superstore (Ping g425, Titleist , SIM2, tour edge 723) and the Dynapower hit the best distance and dispersion for me in both 3wood and 5wood.

 

Ended up buying the 3 wood , been quite happy with it.

At 45.75  still might be a bit long for most ppl  if shortening to 44.75  would this affect the swing weight and what do they do about that? Do they have to add weight.. also- It does say the ' CG is not centered' what's this mean ? Is that the back weight slightly to the heel

Went with the Ti Dynapower. Wanted max forgiveness. It delivers in spades. First round out with it in the bag last week and had an all time driving round. All. Time.
From the 10.5 turned down to 10, to the RDX Red 6.0 to the midsized Tour Velvet. It all just works for me so well. Aim up the right, Tee it high, swing hard. It’s legit.
