Finally got to see the t150 and t200. I got to hit them. They weren’t the right shaft. Im definitely a t150 guy. Didn’t love the feel. I blame the shaft. Ironically i had an apex pro with the right shaft and loved it. More testing to come with t150. All I know is today I would have went apex pro. Glad there are great options out there

Interesting for sure. I think the 150 look really good. Being a steeper player, i have a feeling the zx7  may end up staying in my bag with the v sole.. but will definitely give the 150 a fair chance. Worst case scenario i get some more data and try out some shafts to see if anything feels better or tightens up dispersion,

I own the mk2 zx7. Have struggled with them. Don’t love ‘em

What shaft was in the Titleist's, and what was in your apex's?

You can order them through DD right now.

I've used DD in the past in situations like these.  Thanks for the heads up.  BUT, I'd be curious if they are in a "take the order and hold it" situation like I remember from a few years ago.  At that time they would take you order, and then when "Aug 10" or whenever the first day to order came around, they phones in with their huge surplus of orders.

I guess I could simply call and ask:)

(edit: I just called DD and they are taking and holding.  They will not call them into TItelist until August when the are able to.  SO you can place the order but it will sit in a pile at DD until Aug.). That's per Todd at DD)

Size of the smaller irons. They are much bigger now then my old set of 585/785 combo. They feel great. Hard to beat the feel. Just haven’t hit them as well and I wanted. So looking at something new. I’m keeping them. Try them again down the road

I’m steeper with irons as well and had no issues with the 150’s, well I ordered them during my fitting. I owned the original ZX7 and the MKII but prefer the looks and size of the 150 over both. My luck with ZX7’s wasn’t the best because I could never get rid of my high floating left miss even after adjusting lie angles. I ultimately got along better with Z forged and z forged II but hitting a blade on off days isn’t the best solution for me.

So I got my t100’s yesterday, and I’ve gotten to test them for 5 hours on the range today. The turf interaction is better than the last years model. The club looks similar at an address maybe a little smaller. Imagine a mix between the look of the mb and t100 from last year, and you get this. They feel relatively similar and maybe a little more forgiving. They also fly a little higher in my opinion.

Can you provide some feedback on the feel (sound) of the 150s vs. the ZX7? How is the forgiveness of the 150 vs. the Srixon (i.e., dropoff on distance and dispersion on heel and toe strikes)?

Do the 150s launch high and peak at a high apex?

Thanks.

I'm still rockin' the 718 AP2's, with the talk of the 150's being very comparable to the AP2's, would love to see a pic of the two together.

Ha. Currently playing T100; decided against T100s mainly due to the stronger lofts.

Given the many positive takes on here and other outlets, I'm now also intrigued by the T150. But then again, I still have a set of 710 AP2s in the garage. Thinking about updating the shaft and just playing those instead. Or compare to T150 once they're in retail.

Does anyone here still play an older AP2 model? How do they compare to the newer stuff?

Long time AP2 player, thought the 714 AP2 may have been one of Titleist's best ever (many pros agreed). Flirted with 718 AP2's but didn't see any difference.  Tried original T100 and T100S and hated them, just didn't work for me.  The current T100 and T100S are night and day difference as to forgiveness and are very close to the AP2's. Ordered a set of T150 as few friends have hit and knew right away they were switching so curious myself how close they'll be to AP2 size

Seeing them, I think a lot of people, if they have faster ball speed and don’t need distance, will blend T100/150. Looks virtually identical in the bag and at address, but without the PW at 44. Also will see tons of T200 in 4 and 3. Just make the game easier.

Feel and sound wise I would say they are a bit different. The ZX7 is maybe a little softer and to me little louder off the face. I’ve always felt Srixon irons were pretty audible compared to other brands but that could just be my opinion. For forgiveness I would say the 150 is superior and in the middle of the face is the same story. With the 150 7 iron my ball speed was in the 123-124 range very consistently on flushed shots and dropped to around 121 when I missed a little out towards the toe. With the ZX7 my center strike speed was always around 121 and off center I was in the 117-119 range depending on how bad the strike was. The 150 trumped the ZX7 in peak height for me I was around 105-110 at 6600 rpm and the zx7 around 100 with 5800 RPM. I personally prefer a flatter shot around 100 feet but when I get those numbers I tend to see a big drop in spin. The 5 and 6 iron is what really impressed me over ZX7 plus I was able to stay within 3-5 MPH increases going up the bag to my 3 hybrid.

I got the t100 in 5-p and 200 in 4. Here’s a pic of my 4. This club is great, very forgiving, easy to spin and hit high. Great for hitting into par 5s par 3s and off the tee.

Looking good, your setup is as mine from 2021 models. Never been quite happy with t200, considering the 350 to slot in place instead, with possibly the 150 5 and 6 irons. Did you hit the 350 at all in the 4 as an option?

For anyone who has tested both...how big is the difference between t150 and t200 in the longer irons where, based on earlier comments, the t150 got meaningfully bigger than the t100, whereas the t150 looks a lot closer to the t100 in the 6-W? Seems like it would be a pretty small gap between the two in the 4i/5i slots, but any additional info would be great.

T150 and T200 look fairly similar, or at least a logical progression in long iron as you go up. Like T100 looks just a touch smaller than T150 which in turn is just a touch smaller than T200. But its nothing distracting.

As for performance, the centered strikes with T150 and T200 were super similar, just for me T200 spun a bit less, and the crappy heel and toe strikes just fell off a tiny bit less and popped up a bit more for flight. and since 4i for me is a weird club, I went forgiveness. If/when my ball striking finds itself again with long irons, I can easily swap the T150 in there and it would be just fine.

I hit the 350 in the fitting, but liked the 200 better as it was more workable. The 200 was way more improved than last year. I would highly recommend it

There isn’t a massive difference. The t150 is exactly what I was looking for. I would combo in the longer irons

Thanks for that feedback. Appreciated. Your numbers with a 7-iron are similar to mine. I do prefer a higher flight, especially 7 to 5 iron, and I'm curious to see how the quality of my strike changes with them vs. my i230s.

I played on a links course last weekend where the fairways and greens have not been watered for what appeared to be weeks (I think they're closing the course), and everything was concrete out there. I was able to adjust, but I'm curious to see how a thinner sole like my OG ZX7 or these 150s would perform in those conditions vs. the Pings.

I'll have to demo!

If anyone has any more comparisons between the 2021 t100 and the 2023 t100 I'd be really interested to hear them.

I've been fitted for the 2021 t100 fairly recently but fell in the gap between the old model and the new when it came to ordering. I'm wondering whether I should wait and re-test with the new model, or if the irons are similar enough that it's safe to just pull the trigger on the new model.

Nice to know that they're more blade-like - I'm currently playing MBs because the look and feel suits me and produces better shots. The t100 works because it has similar look/feel but with a bit of assistance for my miss (thin).

I was just at a Titleist fitting yesterday. Planned to really put the T200's through it's paces since I had the 2021 T200's. I had recently swapped out my 2021 T200's for a combo ZX7 (5-7)/ZX5 (8-P) and I loved them so far. Guy had me start with T100's (I said why not) and surprisingly I loved them. Maybe 5yds shorter than compared to 2021 T200 but solid. Really loved the extra tungsten weighting at the bottom of the club. Then hit the T150's, loved them too. Didn't notice any perceptible difference in the size. Finally hit the T200's. Much better sounding than 2021 T200's but the strike quality/sound and distance didn't blow me away compared to how well I was hitting the T100's/T150's. Final touch was guy had me hit the 3/4 irons for T100's, T150's. I surprised myself how well I hit these because I was intent on trying the new U505 (vs. my current prior gen U505). Compared to the ZX5/ZX7 I would say the T100/T150's went higher and maybe a bit further. Compared to T200's (2021 or 2023) they are shorter but I expected this due to the diff in lofts.

Summary is that I really liked the T100's and T150's. Tempted to get the T150's because they look just like the T100's but loft and distance are a hair more. Don't feel I need to do the T200's at all and maybe can avoid the U505 and just go a full set of 4-PW. I think compared to the ZX7 directly they are going higher and further (T100/T150 both). You can really feel the mass at the bottom/back of the club vs. the ZX7.

For reference I was hitting the T100/T150/T200 with a SteelFiber cw110 stiff, 2* flat (same as what I had in T200 and same as I have in ZX5/ZX7 combo). For the 3/4 iron I hit the stock steel AMT White/Black S300, not 2* flat and I still hit it pretty good. I did hit the new U505 with a GD IZ 95. It looks a hair more meatier than the prior gen, definltely easy to hit with that much meat behind the club but I wouldn't say it blew me away, nor was it as big a diff from the prior gen. I still really enjoyed the T100/T150 4 iron.
