Show me your home, outdoor mat/net setup.

Working on mine slowly. I'm set to put brick pavers in between the may and the rear perimeter. I have 2x6 planks setup to create a rectangle hitting area, may is in the middle. 

 

But I'm wondering it the pavers are a good idea. Wondering if they're going to bake me while I hit in the Florida summer.

 

Want to see other options.

I will be setting up a hitting area in my backyard as well. I am currently considering GoSports net and 5x5 hitting mat. Anyone use horse stall mats under their hitting mat?

Yes. I have one under mine. Much softer than concrete or pavers. You can still 100% feel a steep shot, but they're not as harsh. Only downside is the mat moves. After about 8 shots I have to pull it back about 3-4 inches.

I'm a but worried about the heat that will come off a grouping of pavers siting behind my mat during 93-95 summer days.

The horse stall mat moves or the hitting mat? Horse stall mats have some decent weight to them so that would surprise me if they moved.

Tha mat moves on tip of the horse stall mat...sorry for that ambiguity. 

 

The horse stall mat is solidly in place. They are HEAVY.

I cover the mat and hitting area with a cover to keep off dirt ...it is sliver and reflects heat ...  we have some hot days and when the mat comes off all is cool under

My quick poor man's setup 🤣, need to get working on building a shed since I got everything for sim and no where to put it lol

Haack net from Rukket sports from Amazon and a Rawhide Golf Ball Co. (used TopGolf) mat from Rawhide's website. 

 

Mat quality is great and you can also use actual tees in addition to the holes for the driving range type tee. Net is good but pretty basic. It's been outside for probably the equivalent of 1.5 years. I initially had a canvas drop cloth hanging in the hitting area to help prolong the net life, but when I moved the mat the cloth was looking pretty rough and got rid of it. Purchased a new one to hang but haven't gotten around to it. Unless you hit a ton of balls it's probably not necessary.
