Do you let a single pass when course is full??

Sure, but that single is going to have to wait for 4 shots to be hit by the group in front of him. So you're watching him stand there for 5 minutes, then he hits. But yeah his shot should be quick since he's had all that time to figure out what he's going to do. Heck even Patrick Cantlay would be fast in that scenario. 😁

I’ll frequently hop on the course as a single if I have an unexpected chunk of time and there’s an opening on the tee sheet. I usually expect to do some waiting, it’s just the nature of the beast. More often than not I find the group in front of me will offer to let me play through. If there’s an opening in front of them, I will politely accept, hit a terrible rushed tee shot and be on my way, but if there’s nowhere to go in front of them I will say no thanks. The only time I will press a group ahead of me is if they are clearly out of position or if there is a wide open course and then if they don’t get the hint I will just move past them to the next hole and they never see me again.

I’m very pleased if asked to pair up and have met some great people that way. If there are wall to wall foursomes in front of me and I have a late tee time, I’m chilling, hanging back a bit, and maybe hitting some practice shots. All good, I’m not pushing you, that is DB behavior if the course is stacked.

I love playing early evening as a single. I get a lot of valuable practice in and if I'm coming up on a group ahead of me, I'll hang back, hit a few extra drives. When the green clears, I may hit 3 approach shots and then practice putting until they move off the next tee. I thoroughly enjoy it. Occasionally I'll join a twosome if asked. We'll play until dark. Good time.
