What do I have here?

I happened upon these finds from an older gentleman who was going to throw them away. I just couldn’t let them go to the dumpster. I know those that frequent this forum possess a LOT more knowledge about older clubs than I do, so my question is are these old Staff’s worth anything? They were a mixed bunch, but I separated them to the best of my limited knowledge. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

You scored BIGTIME!! The first set is a mid 70’s Wilson Staff model, with a very popular JP wedge. The second set is a mid 80’s Wilson Staff model. Not much info on the last set, but thank you for rescuing two classic sets from the dumpster.

Great save!  The Wilson Staffs would be top of the line clubs for their day and both are examples of classic forged blades.  Neither are worth a ton of money, you can check eBay for recent sold prices as vintage staff’s do hold some value, but I recommend trying them you may like them.  
 

The Palmer’s I think are probably department store clubs, not much value.

Yeah, those two Wilson sets are great. 

 

I think the first is mid-seventies, as @hammergolf said. I've a slightly similar looking set with slightly different stamping that date from the Eighties (Dynamic Gold shafts), and they play very well. 

 

The JP wedge is fantastic.

 

Also, the black bands on the bottom step of the shaft indicate regular flex, and the red bands stiff flex.

Top set are the 1976 Staffs.  Some refer to them as the mini Bulletbacks.  Second set are the 1984 Fluid Feels, which are frequently tagged as "line under" Staffs.  The mismatched wedge you have with the second set is from the 78 Staffs, which were the model between the 76 Staffs and the FG-17s.

 

The 78 Staffs are similar to the FG-17s, but the 78s have a thinner sole thanks to what I like to call trailing edge relief.  It creates a bit of a bulge to the muscle, more pronounced than you'd see with the FG17s.

I'm going to give some love to the Arnold Palmer Autographs.

 

They might not be the same build quality or tight spec of the Staffs and the shafts are probably inferior, but they'll still play great and to my eye are the better looking clubs, and how a club looks goes a long way with me!
