NSX, I’m going to help my co commissioner out.

 

1) Picks are due Wednesday at 3:00 PM EST on Wednesday.

 

2) Post your results on Tuesday morning.  You post your results, so if all three of your picks hit, you would have 15 pts.  Example of how to post based on last nights game.  Let’s say I took Chiefs -6 1/2.  So I would post as Chiefs -6 1/2 (L) 0pts.  Now you can get creative and you will get the hang of it.

 

3) You can find the Dark Horse on page 3.  Touch posted the Vegas win totals on August 16th.

The Power Play

 So we are making 3 picks every week. Those standard picks are scored as such.

 

A correct pick is worth 5 points.

A tie or push is worth +2 points.

There are Zero points for a loss. 

 

Once every 4 weeks you can designate one of your standard picks as your Power Play.

The Power Play picks are scored as such.

Power Play hits win +20 points.

Power Play pushes/ties wins+5 points.

Now if his Power Play loses he LOSES -10 points.

I hear ya. I was surprised a few did go with the PP in week 1 also.

I think the Commanders will win by the largest margin of victory on Sunday. I say the Ravens will be second. I wanted to PP my Washington pick, but decided I would save it for a few weeks.

... So you think you get an extra pick along with choosing one team to win 3 times in the same week? I am glad I was never one of your professors when you told them you would take all the test the last week of the semester, and they had to explain to you that's isn't the way things work.

This was part of my strategy as well.  You can get an extra PP pick.  I don’t think it’s a big gamble with Jacksonville and Indy.  I watched the colts twice and without Jonathan Taylor, I don’t see Anthony Richardson and his 38% completion percentage improving in his first game against actual NFL starters and a DC making a game plan.  If he runs for 200 and win or cover the 4.5 then I will eat my words.

So the only thing left is the "Dark Horse" - select 3 teams that will win more than the lines you posted above.

 

AND selecting a PP pick once every 4 weeks. And the PP is one of the normal 3 picks for that weekend, NOT "in addition to" the 3.

 

Only question there is, MUST one pick a PP (at all) ?

Thank you Touch.  I'll take the phone number of the one willing to travel to Bellingham, on my dime, and walk through that comfortable front door, while looking at the view over the ocean, and imagining sitting in the adirondack chairs with a glass of wine in hand at the same time.  Now that's my kind of multi-tasking woman.  Do let her know she can still cheerlead for the Commanders this weekend.

You are correct with the Dark Horse picks nsx. 

 

No you do not have to use a PP. It is an option. It's just a juicier gamble because if you lose you lose points. It is the only pick that you can get negative points with. It is used on one of your 3 picks and your are correct that it is not a separate pick from your 3 picks. 

 

That covers it. You feel comfortable with how this works now?
