Best gentle way to clean up TEI3?

Went to get some shaft adapters removed and had this gem in the used putter section.. had to grab it for the price and my addiction. Phenomenal shape but the finish is obviously worn.. any gentle way to remove the rest so it’s clean/raw? May rub it down with some gun blue or something after.

Anything you use will strip the finish. Just oil it heavy to prevent any future rust.

You could try a some 0000 steel wool with oil. I use that on some raw finish putters I have from time to time with no adverse effects. YMMV though

If you want to remove the rest you can soak it in Coca Cola.  I did that one time years ago before I gun blued a putter. Worked very well. I was living on the island of Puerto Rico and that was the easiest thing I could get my hands on to remove the finish.  Imagine what the stuff does to your insides!
