Help!! Top Courses you can play in Phx/Scottsdale not Overseeding in Oct

Hello all, wondering if you cold help out some course recommendations.

 

Coming west 10/13 to 10/16 and me and my buddies are looking to play some of the top courses in the Phx/Scottsdale area, however the issue i'm running into is that majority or the courses have either started the overseeding process or will be cart path only. 

 

So I was wondering if you guys had any insight on the best courses to play during this time.

 

So far on my list of courses that are open to play are:

10/13
Wigwam (Blue)

10/14
Eagle Mountain
Wildfire (Faldo)

 

10/15
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes

 

Any opinions would be appreciated.

There isn't much that week that isn't either already closed for overseed, open but overseeded and CPO, closing for overseed in a day or two and dried out/scalped, or a lower end course that most here wouldn't recommend to a tourist. So you will probably need to compromise on something. Troon North Pinnacle will be back open but CPO and $350+, TPC Scottdale-Champions, Whirlwind-Cattail, and Grayhawk-Talon will be back open and CPO as well. Looks like the north course at Talking Stick doesn't close until 10/15, Papago closes 10/16, Sunridge Canyon, which people either seem to love or hate, reopens 9/30.

Yup, as per above, you are coming at the absolute worst time.

 

If you want to play in good conditions, here are your options:  Go down to Tucson and play Sewailo; then go up north and play OakCreek and Sedona Golf Resort;   

 

Otherwise best, longest out of overseed: Legend Trail, Sunridge
