Makino Iron

Hi guys, anyone game with Makino irons? Mind share your feedback? I heard they are Kyoei forged, I’m currently gaming with Kyoei Dual Weight. Any input is appreciated. TIA

I had a set of the tour ltd irons. They’re very nice but got beat out by my miurasims.

No Mikuno on Tourspec - but had a look at their website.

 

Was thinking it's time to be looking to replace my Epon AF-301 Copper-chromes... and was considering Callway Apex Pro (!), or at least would test with the MMT shaft as a long time Blueboard player/lover.

 

then i saw this Mikuno

The notch or shoulder visible at the hosel end and toe end reminded me of my Epons, obviously without the slot or cutout in the muscle cavity... here

Makinos are starting to hit the scene in a strong way because they are a fairly priced japanese option and offer custom grinding. They are pretty solid if you ask me. I like the look of their clubs and their lofts aren’t jacked like Fourteen heads.

Beat out in every category? I unfortunately sold my sb-02 when I moved to fl last year. Makino make some of the only good looking non-blade irons I’ve seen. Might dabble with a set

When you say non-blade are you referring to their MB’s or CB’s?

Every category yes.  Sb-01s are perfect shape for my eye.
