Replace the oldest club in my bag

I want to buy a new golf club but everything in my bag fits and works pretty well. The oldest club I have is a Taylor Made M4 3 wood with a Tensei AV white shaft. Can new 3 wood tech surpass my 5 year old FW? Or am I going to have to settle for new grips as my only upgrade this year?

Always a putter to try out, wedges performance declines after 75 rounds.

No need to replace unless you really wanna upgrade.  Fairway tech has hasn't changed much the past 10 years.

That seems pretty rational. This is my first time having a full bag that’s fitted and that I like. I might have to get a new hobby now that I don’t have a reason to research golf clubs all winter anymore haha.

I just replaced my worn down wedges about a month ago—same build just a slightly newer model. But like you said, I think if anything hooks me it will be a putter.

There is a reason those threads on “best FW wood ever” always are chock full of V Steel, TEE CB2, and other references from back when.
