Thoughts on stability shafts in 2023?

Putter shafts used to have a bit of hype a couple years ago but from my experience, it seems like it has died down quite a bit. 

That being said, what are your thoughts on the BGT Stability shaft?, LA golf shafts, etc. Is it worth the money or is it all marketing?

Your experience will vary on the shaft itself, I see a ton of BGT shafts going on putters still. Worth the money or marketing is your decision, they're not magic, they help mostly with longer putts and stability up close.

I finally pulled the trigger on a BGT Stability shaft, like @MattM97 just stated, I was fitted for it, it feels much better and it gives me the confidence on all putts, it doesn't mean you are going to make more or less putts, it is just a tool to enhance the chance of making the putt, we still have to read the green and stroke the ball with the same confidence...I am still in the honeymoon face so it is working great so far...

So much choice out there now in terms of putter shafts. I’m of the opinion that a steel shaft is stable enough for a putt, but folk are always searching for that special something.

I have putted with them all, the BGT TOUR Spec ONE solid piece is my favorite. Followed by KBS GPS. The Polar2 and LAGP shafts are way too harsh feeling for me.

As soon as they get paid for em …watch your tune change.

 

And Louis Oost lead the tour in putting with a stability.

Just go with the Dynamic Gold X7 Wedge Length 37" shaft and call it a day, or a PX 7.0... If you need something stable.  Keeps $150 up to $350 in your pocket

I have several of them.  I like them.  I do notice as @MattM97 and @Boricua Golf said most obvious impact is lag putting.

 

I like them, but admittedly I am a sucker for tech and making things unique, which these putter shafts feed right into.  Putters are such an expensive habit anyway, why not just pile on, right?

 

They may inspire confidence that will ignite your putting, the tech itself is probably worth a handful of strokes per season.
