Help Needed! Shipping Clubs To Scotland June 2024

Heading over to Europe then doing Rhein River cruise in June. Starting in Munich, Salzburg and eventually making our way to Basel, Switzerland to start cruise. Getting off the boat in Amsterdam and flying over to Edinburgh to spend 10 days in Scotland. Staying at a Vrbo in St Andrew’s so trying to figure out best way to get clubs there. Don’t want to lug them all over Munich & Salzburg so plan is to ship them to Scotland. Problem is, the Vrbo host won’t let us ship directly to the cottage so trying to find a suitable answer that doesn't cost a fortune. We are not using a travel service as I just booked the golf directly thru the courses we are playing. Planning on using Ship Sticks as have had great results sending clubs to Bandon. Will just check bags upon return to US but need help with somewhere to ship clubs to that we can pick up upon arriving in Scotland.

any & all advice/suggestions from those of you who have done anything similar would be greatly appreciated

Why don’t you just ship them to the course you are playing first?

Yep, call or email the course, or any nearby course you are playing and ask them - easy.

My two short term rentals in St Andrews we use a letting agency. I am sure if you had to do that staying at my two places you could ship it to their office in the town centre.

does your host use an agency?

Just contact the first golf course you are playing and have them shipped there. What courses are you playing?

We are playing Elie, The New course, Eden, Jubilee, Castle, Stonehaven, Crail & Panmure

My buddy & I will spend night in queue at least twice for attempts at TOC so we will swap out one of other St Andrew’s courses or worse case, we play second 18 w our wives.

Great line up of course! If Elie is the first course you are playing, contact the club and ask them if you can send your clubs there and if they can keep them in the club room for you until you arrive. If they turn you down, I have a friend who is a caddie and member at Crail. For the most part anyone involved with golf over there is very helpful and bend over backwards to take care of visitors.
