Early Extension. Hip Slide. Casting. HELP!

As the title states I’m struggling pretty hard. Thinning the ball. Chunking the ball. Right, left. You name it I’ve done it. The only reason I can play competitively is because of a good short game.
When looking at my swing I feel as though I get into a pretty good position at the top but from there everything goes haywire. Give me all your thoughts and opinions on what I could do.

Also one day I have no idea what happened but my swing was pure. Perfect lag, shaft lean, turn, etc. I was hitting my 9 iron 180yds like a laser which only usually goes 150. So I know I’m capable of fixing it I just have no idea how.

Way too bent over at address and hands way too low. Start there.

For a reference point, a line straight down form your nose should be pretty close to in between your toes and the ball. You nose is almost directly over the ball. That allows no angle for your hands and arms to get any depth and it dominos from there.

Red lines where your nose and middle of hands are, green where they should be.

PS-if you’re hitting 9 iron 180 that’s a bad sign.

Monte - what are your posture guidelines that you operate by? I've never seen you talk about the lines like you have drawn.

I’m pretty tall. 6’ 4”. Would that change anything. If I stood taller I feel like I would whiff the ball

You don't have the rotation to pull of such a shut club face. On the face on video, your grip is not very sound. Looks too palmy (weak) in the lead hand and right hand sits too under.

“I feel________” is the single biggest reason golfers don’t improve.

You’re early extending because you’re creating a shallower arc and creating space you don’t have at address. Height isn’t as relevant as wrist to floor and several other variables. There are other tall golfers and they have proper alignments. Your spine inclination at the top of the swing is more than 50*. That’s unmanageable.

Like I said, nose about midway between ball and toes. Middle of hands under middle of trail shoulder.

Okay I tried this out in the range. Felt like my arms were stretched to the absolute limit. But how does it look?

Let your body adapt to setup for a bit. The you need to work on the club head nit coming out so early. Needs to work away from the ball first.

At setup your club is in a weak position. Push hands forward some to where it looks like your left arm and club are in a straight line (see Rory below at setup). Hit some half shots trying to match that shaft lean at impact. Do it slow at first until you can do it, then speed it up to where it fails and slow it back down.
