G430LST 3w launch

Hello All!

Any feedback from people playing this head on launch? I’m in the 142-152 BS on GC with my current 3W. Looking at a G 3w, and the ones I’ve hit with standard loft have been coming out in the 9-10 range. This is with mult shafts (Flex and weight). My next test is going to be lofting up.

Thx - I was surprised that he got the same numbers with Max vs LST. That hasn’t been the same in other videos. Launch was 12-13 and is that optimal? With the titanium face of LST, would be great if that had a titanium Max, maybe?

Yeah, there are other videos out there, but the g430 lst certainly hasn’t lived up to the hype. I think many assumed it was going to perform like the Stealth + but that’s not the case.

I had the stealth 2 and I would say it was almost too hot for me. Rockets when struck well and misses hurt. Went to TSR2 to try forgiving. But heck with that, back to distance 🙂. I did hit the Qi, but like LST better (tsr3 was no good for me)

I bet x shaft could change the game for TSR2 and me, but that’s for another day.

Say what you'd like about looks/feel/sound/price of course but performance wise the LST does keep up with the titanium Taylormade woods just fine. I've had both in the last year and they are nearly identical distance wise for me at about 106 ish with a 3 wood.

That is a very solid club as well. Mizuno woods are underrated.

A little late to the party, but I have the G430LST FW. I launch it extremely low, almost too low to be usable. Obviously others may have different experiences. I agree with @hammergolf, it hasnt really lived up to the hype for me. But to each their own.

Been playing mine since it came out. I tend to play my 3w forward and hit up slightly on it so I have no issues launching it. I have used a few shafts in this thing, Tour black 2.0 75x, Ventus red 7x. and no I am in an old HZRDUS Smoke yellow 6.0. This thing has been an absolute cannon for me and with the HZRDUS, so controllable. I really liked the Max 3w but it tended to want to go left on me, the LST has cured that. I wouldn't hesitate to loft this up and maybe even try a softer shaft, but maybe stick to something CB. I have been really happy with this 3w, does everything well for me.

I don't have experience with the 430LST 3W but the 425LST 3W was essentially a driver. Launched around 10 with sub 2500 spin, ball speed in the high 160's and carry 280ish. Wasn't practical or useable at all and ended up swapping to a 425Max 5W turned down to 16 degrees.
