Looking at the scoring, only 26 players at even par or better today, for now. I could easily see the number of top players sitting out double next year.

Is this one of those days where someone who is a few holes ahead, if they can get in the clubhouse at -8, may watch the leaders fall back and at least get in a playoff? It doesn't look like Nelly is going to falter though.

 

(edit: So of course she eagles while I'm posting....should be a lock now....people were lumping her in with Lydia/Lexi/Danielle when the year began in the "question mark" category, she's sure delivered so far...).

Bummed for Gabi.  But pretty fun to see Ryan in a playoff, sorta came from nowhere and shoots a 62 on Sunday.

 

And apparently Nelly goes to #1 in the world regardless if she wins.

I was even wrong about being wrong...I should claim that equals "right" but it's actually doubly wrong. 😉

 

Amazing how consistent Jiyai can be in the handful she plays on the tour and it looks like the flashes Jasmine and Jenny Shin showed at end last  year are continuing.

 

Earlier, someone on TV referred to Janet as "best player w/o a win"...no wording like "one of the...." or "considered by many" or other qualifier.  I would think Alison might have a claim, if her current trend continues.

That was a sweet putt, Nelly. Numerous times we've seen Nelly struggle on Sunday in tough conditions, but even though she stumbled late, she played great today in tough conditions. 

 

Tip of the hat to Ryann for putting up the low round of the day and making it exciting. 

 

Impressed by Gabi. Thought she'd have the worst round of the three in the final group, but finished strong. 

 

Curious if Jiyai will tee it up next week.

Big fan, it's clear she has plenty of game, we saw that back in 2020 as an amateur when she played in the US Open and ANA finishing top 15 in both. Me thinks with her starting golf rather late as compared to most of these players, she's gonna need a year or so to fully blossom. Hope I'm wrong

Congratulations to Nelly; that's a clutch putt!  I's glad the putt was 10-15 feet, right in her sweet range.

 

With the win Nelly regained No. 1 Rolex Ranking; ending Lilia Vu's 28 weeks at the reign.   She also has 12 HOF points, tying Anna Nordqvist and Minjee Lee for No. 10 among active players.

Nelly just a class above everyone at the moment and deservedly back to RR#1. Probably not the way she would like to win in  playoffs with someone shooting a better score for the round but that's how the rules are! I'm still not sure why Nelly was not penalised for grounding her club behind the ball and it moving to hit her club before she pulled it away and it continuing to roll away down the slope....

 

They listed all Korean born players with total LPGA wins behind Seri Pak......Why no Lydia Ko? or has she lost her birthright for defecting to NZ!  😂

Quite the unexpected finish. Thought Korda had it on lock after the eagle. Honestly lots of good play overall in some stank conditions. I'm sure many would have been dreaming of hot chocolate in the club house. 

 

Wish Hull had brought a few more birdies, would have loved seeing her in the playoff.

Yeah. I think the announcers said it started very early on and just got worse though the day in that wonderful cold weather. Always like seeing her in contention.

THANKS MUCH! Yes, enjoyed the golf at  a Cage Sports Bar. They actually had a couple TVs tuned to LPGA action. But check this out..........above the golf screen was Women's Curling. I swear Brooke switched sports!!
