Trying to understand these numbers...

I hate going left and one of my problems is my face to path is left a couple of degrees. I noticed even when my face is open the ball still goes left of center line by a significant amount. My normal in to out path is 5-10° with a face close 1-5°. Needless to say the lower the loft the harder the left. Do I need to work on getting more zero path? On best when I try to cut it I can get 2° out to in and the flight is generally much straighter. The problem is I can't repeat that pattern as I can an in to out. Any help is appreciated.

I guess my thoughts were if I had the face open to the path it would keep it left of center but I'm finding that's not always the case hence the confusion.

Not zero, but you do need to work on that part, yes. Anything 5* or more in either direction is something to look at critically as it relates to misses. Some folks can manage more extreme paths, but it sounds like you'd rather not be. The further you are away from 0*, the more variables you have to deal with the smaller your margin for "success" is. Almost all pros are sub 5*, with most elite players being even tighter than that. Once you start approaching 10* you're playing with fire, because think about it this way. With a path that is 7*+ from the inside, if you're lined up down the "middle" so to speak to hit the push draw then you're relying on hitting that small window of needing the face closed to that path 1-2* (open about 5-6*) in order to be reliably on the fairway. A degree or two too closed to the path and you're in the left rough and a degree or two too open and you're blocking it right. And if you're lined up right intentionally and need the ball to come back then you can't ever stray towards the clubface being too open at all for fear of the big double cross, and the snap hook is looming if you get too afraid of that. 

tl;dr, the larger the difference between your club path and your intended target, the more bad outcomes become possible over good ones. Absolute neutral isn't the goal, but consistency is, and that first drive you posted needs to be your "outlier" and the 7*+ needs to go away.

Path over 5 is going to be a lot of misses left in order to not miss right.  Hitting down with a path that right is problematic,

2-3* is usually pretty good.

 

Now you have to address why you’re too far right….not just try and swing more left….because you’re already down.

I figure I'm so right because I hate going left. I'm always scared to pull it hard when swinging left but hitting so far right still brings my ball well past left of center.

If your face were open to your (inside out) path you would hit huge blocks. It's important to distinguish between face relative to target and relative to path. 

 

As someone that creeps up toward 5 out at times with driver, I would look at drills to bring it closer to neutral. If I'm swinging more like 2* in to out I don't feel like the big left miss is lurking.
