Scotland Loft/Lie Machine Manual

Does anyone have a link to a manual or instruction sheet for the Scotland Loft-Lie machine? I bought one on C/L without instructions! :yes:

 

Specifically, what do the holes for LW, SW, PW, etc. assume the angles are, i.e 60* for LW, 56* for SW, etc.? Also, on the loft/lie gage, there is a strong & weak indicator. How is that used?

 

It's way too confusing for this old timer.

The MR3 True Blue is the 'next gen' to the Scotland Machine.

 

For the MR3, PW is 48, GW is 52, SW is 56 and LW is 60.

 

Stronger and weaker on the loft gauge is just that - stronger or weaker than what the 'club hole' is.

 

So, if you've got a PW in (for 48) and it's showing 2 strong, your loft is 46. Get it? Bend it to 'neutral' (not strong or weak) to get to 48.

Did you ever find a manual? I just bought one "The Master" and need a manual too!

I thought I needed a manual too when I first got mine until I started to use it. You've gotten almost everything you need to know so far in this thread. The other thing is that the little piece that slides is used to make sure the clubhead is the proper level in the vise by aligning it with a groove on the clubface.

TK is talking about the tongue. As he said, "it's the level". If it's missing, you can take a small ruler and do the same thing.

As far as the original post from simplemind: PW is 50*, SW is 55*, and LW is 60*.

Most Scotland's including the Ocean Waves were built to perform the "older" specs where a 9-iron was 46 instead of 44 or stronger and basically before the GW was really being produced.

And finally, Lowpost explained the lie angle issue as well, maybe a bit better than the manual did.

I don't have a scottland, but I did see a great many older threads here about them and how they work.
