MACHINE Putters Picture Thread

Hey Guys,

I hope everyone is having a great week :) I wanted to share pics of this MACHINE Garage Putter that was just received by it's new owner :)

This is a MACHINE M2A Converter Garage Putter featuring a 1018 Carbon head, a 1018 Carbon Tongue Back Flange, a Custom Width Copper Plated Alloy Spacer and a Disco Ball Hand Bent Hosel :)

The head on this MACHINE Features Dave's Hand Hammered Peening and the bumpers have been melted for a smoother more fluid appearance :)

As you can see, we carried on the wave cut milling from the Flange to the Head :) One other option that this customer went with is a Custom Ball Game Cut on the Topline with a Sightline on the Topline that bisects it :) This gives one straight line from the face to the rear of the flange at address :)

The finish on this MACHINE is Dave's Experimental Blue Hot Sauce finish :) First one we have done in this new finish and I have to say I really like it :)

This MACHINE is shafted with a UST Frequency Filtered Shaft and the Grip is a Lime Green Iomic :) The customer asked that we match the Paintfill to the color of the grip :)

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)

Thanks in advance

-Chris

Hey Everyone,

So I am the proud owner of the rediculous MACHINE Garage putter.

I cannot thank Dave and Chris enough for creating this wonderful work of art. This truely has surpassed all my wishes for the putter. While I thought this process was going to take 6-8 weeks it actually took around 5-6 months. And let me tell you, well worth the wait!

The finish in those pictures does not do it justice, put that bad boy outside and it really shines and shows about 10 different hues and colors. The paintfill matches the grip so nicely! And yes that is the IOMIC large putter grip. This is cut to 34" and the offset is just perfect!

All I want to do is write thank you 5000 times over, but obviously y'all get the point! This was an amazing experience, and Dave has now got another customer for life, just waiting for the right time to make a center shafted one! Great things to come from DLG and MACHINE!

For anyone who has had thoughts of getting one of these creations, please do not hesitate, these putters are THE BEST on the market for the price. The time and effort put into this would have costed me thousands if I went with Mr. Cameron, and with any other putter maker I just couldnt trust them to do what Dave has perfected over many years. Truely blessed

So Chris, when can I get my hands on one of those bags as well???

Swing em good guys!

And again, Dave/Chris/Libby, you guys are AWESOME!!!

-Chris

PS. I think I putted with this for about 2 hours last night till the wife finally yelled at me to put it down!

Wow, love the staff bags but I am way past the staff bags now. Now a stand bag is a DIFFERENT story.

The green machine is awesome but I need to know - that's the weight on:
1. That custom copper spacer
2. The 1018 Carbon steel tongue
3. The overall weight of the green machine head

4. Is that a Reverse Arch grip in LIME GREEN?!?!?!?!?

Darn...I knew I should have invested in a Garage, that hand peening looks so sweet...but hell, after I am done on the second round, it would have been close to it :ninja:
Chris and Dave would know the exact weight for each piece.

But to answer the full weight of the head including the screws came in just around 380g. I like a heavy head because the lighter ones cause me to pull it all the time!

And no reverse arch grip, it looks that way because of the shaft. Standard IOMIC large grip.

Thanks for the great comments Chris :) I know I speak for Dave as well when I say it was a blast working with you on this MACHINE :) Really glad that you enjoyed the final outcome :)

For those that didn't know...Chris literally took Blind Faith with us. He didn't want pics, he wanted to be surprised when it arrived :) Chris gave us a list of what he would like and then put his faith in Dave to make it happen :)

I'm going to look into the bags. I know we are not going to do a batch of them, but I will talk to Dave this weekend to see what I can do about singles :)

Thanks once again for the great comments Chris.

Hello Alby,

The completed total weight was 381 Grams :) I don't have the weight of the spacer right now as it was a custom that started life as a Super Spacer and was milled down to get the size that we needed :) The 1018 Carbon Tongue weighs in at 68 Grams :)

The grip on this MACHINE is actually a Large Iomic :) We haven't changed up the Reverse Arch Grip Colors yet :)

Thanks in advance

Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is having a great week :) I wanted to tease the Lefty's Tonight and show some Lefty MACHINE's that are pre-built and ready to ship :) These are being offered on a First Come First Serve Basis :)

Enjoy :)

Hmmm. Here's my dilemma. I'm wondering if I should lock this thread and make it invisible while I decide whether or not I can afford one of those copper M1A Fixers, or should I instead delete this post and disable Chris's posting ability until I make my decision?

Hello,

We have been working on that model, but I can't give you an ETA. We want to make it where the flanges and necks are still interchangeable and able to go from a #9 Style to a 8802 Style. Lots of work left to do on this one.

Thanks

Today is a good day! The mail just showed up and I had a surprise waiting at the door!

When I was in the process of having my welded center shaft created I was sent a picture of a prototype that was being made for a tour player (Has used several Machines as reported elsewhere). He also wanted a welded neck, but with the two sight lines in the cavity. At that time the 4.0 release was getting close to production and this was the platform that Dave chose. When I saw it I thought it looked amazing!

Fast forward a few months and the owner now has decided on another setup. I am wading through all the listings on the Bay, like a good little putter ho and low and behold there it is! Back and forth for a couple weeks and now it is home! Even better, tomorrow is sunny with temps in the upper 50s. LIFE IS GOOD!

OK Dave I did my part…WE STILL NEED PICS!

To All:

My apologies on how long it is taking me on answering some e-mails and PM's these past couple of days. I'm in the process of driving from Savannah to El Paso and just happened to do it at the same time this lovely storm is hitting the US. I'm trying to answer as best as I can, but right now I am operating off my cell phone till we can get to El paso and find a place to live. I am working as fast as I can and apologize for the delay.

If there is something you need help with immediately, please contact [email protected]

I am hoping to be in a new house starting Monday or Tuesday and hope to have home internet around the same time.

Thank you for your patience.

-Chris

Thanks for the update, this storm has even delayed delivery of my putter head to Dave.

Good luck and stay safe choeps!

Hello

Working on answering your e-mail. Was hoping to have my internet back up yesterday. Unfortunately, when they came for the install they said they needed to cut thru my driveway if I wanted to use them. I now have an appointment on Thursday for At&t to come out and install wireless internet for my house.

I really apologize for the delays everyone. I am doing my best to get back online and get caught up asap. This move has been a true nightmare. Lol

I appreciate everyones understanding.

Thanks

Chris

Hey Guys,

Thanks for everyone's patience. I finally have my internet hooked back up at home, that was a nightmare!! I will be catching up on e-mails today and this weekend.

There are some really nice items in the works, to include a very limited run milled from a material that we have received numerous special requests for. MGC members will be receiving an e-mail later this weekend once I get everything finalized, but I can tell you the material starts with the letter "D" :)

Thanks once again for everyone's patience

Hey Guys,

I hope everyone has been having a great week. I know I have been absent a bit with the move, but I am back now and ready to get cranking again :) I wanted to start this off with some new pics of a very custom MACHINE that is being built for a member on here :)

The Neck on this MACHINE is called the BBQ Ribs Hand Bent Hosel :)

The first hosel of this nature is going on a Custom Tig Weld Center-Shaft :)

The BBQ Ribs Hand Bent Hosel #2 was cooked low and slow and is mounted to a MACHINE M2A Converter Head milled from Aluminum Bronze and a Aluminum Bronze Fat Back Flange. The Head and Flange have both been given custom Milling and the bumpers have been melted for a Smoother and Softer Look :)

More pics to follow :)

Thanks

-Chris
