Nice! That second putter.... Got any pics of that particular head shape without the Tongue Medallion...

 

That might be a winner for me!

 

Here are some pics before the Flange was Blued and the Alignment Tongue Medallion was installed.

 

We can also do this without the Bongo Cut Milling you see in the Flange and with Squared Bumpers instead of the rounded bumpers.

I just noticed something about the closer weight from the address shot Chris.. does it work as well like SeeMore's Rifle scope (I think thats what they call the red alignment marker behind the shaft)?

This MACHINE features a Custom 1018 Carbon M2A Converter Head with a 1018 Carbon Tongue Back Flange and a 1018 Carbon Modular Center Shaft - Shaft Over Hosel.

 

The Head, Hosel and Flange on this MACHINE have all been finished in Dave's Hand Torched Oil Quenched FInish.

This MACHINE features a Custom 1018 Carbon M8 Converter Head with a 1018 Carbon No. 2 Blade Flange and a 1018 Carbon Half Offset Gooseneck Hosel.

 

The Head, Hosel and Flange have all been finished in our Hot Salts Gun Metal Blue Finish.

 

The Medallion is an Alloy Logo Medallion.

This MACHINE features a Custom 303 Stainless M4 Meritage Head with a 303 Stainless Deep Bite Bongo Back Flange and a 303 Stainless Plumber Neck Hosel.

 

This MACHINE will be recieveing a Custom Blue Anodized Alloy Milled Grip and an Additional Pre-Shafted 303 Stainless Modular Center Shaft Hosel.

 

Still a little more work to go, but she is coming along nicely :)

This MACHINE features a Custom Billet Copper M2A Converter Head with a Billet Copper Blade Back Flange and a Copper Plated Modular Center Shaft Hosel.

 

This MACHINE also features a Custom Arch Balanced Heel Closer Weight and a Black Anodized Alloy Medallion.

 

The Face Milling on this MACHINE is our Thread Milled Groove Face Milling.

 

Next up for this MACHINE is for it to recieve a Custom Patina Finish.

Hey Everyone,

Happy New Year from all of us here at Dogleg Right and MACHINE! This is an exciting year for us, as we start to celebrate our 20th anniversary of the founding of Dogleg Right in way back in 1994. We'll be making some special announcements and have a bunch of exciting new products, innovations and technologies to share.

For starters, I'm excited to show you a sneak peek of a new flange with a lot of custom options for 2014. Shown below is the Prototype No. 1 of our new "Megalodon" flange. This prototype is paired here with a M4 head and Double Bend Shaft Over Stud hosel, and is configured for a Counter Balanced setup.

This combination of materials, size and weight options creates a head with an adjustable weight range of between 385 and 425 grams for a Counter Balanced putter with Massive MOI and a very effective alignment system. But as with our other models, the neck is interchangeable as is the flange and medallion, so you can put together just about any setup you want and need with our putters.

We will also offer a very broad array of options for regular length putters, Arm Rest, belly and Long (broomstick) models. The flange shown here fits all M2A Converters and M4 Meritage heads. There will also be material options in most of those we currently offer: 303 stainless, 1018 Carbon (with all plating and finish options), Aluminum Bronze, 6061 Alloy, and probably Damascus... possibly even Billet Copper and maybe Stainless Damascus?

When paired with a M2A Converter head the Steel versions make great Belly and Long putters. 6061 Aerospace Alloy with Tungsten weights in the weight ports pair perfectly with the M2A Converters for a standard length putter (330 up to 375 grams). Of course spacers and ATM tongues and other custom options all available to

I'll also have some smaller versions for M2A Converters in the heavy metals and for smaller mallets (M9 and M11).

I hope everyone likes the new Super High MOI "Megalodon" flange options for MACHINE in 2014! Chris and I will be posting more photos as the other Protos and early production models come off the mill and get further customized for Tour, our fitters and for your custom orders!

PS: The literal translation of Megalodon is "Big Tooth". It comes from the extinct specias of shark that grew up to 60 feet in length, the largest to ever roam the oceans. My brother and I used to find the giant fossilized teeth in the cliffs at the beach we went to when we were kids, especially after a storm had eroded away the cliffs. They were huge, 4-6 inches (although they can get even bigger). Made you think twice about going back in the water! lol. This flange setup on a M2A with a spacer is just under 4" long from face to the back of the teeth, and just a little over 4.5" heel to toe.

If this was all milled from Solid Billet Copper, then it would be pretty heavy. What we could do to keep this around the same head weight is to mill it from 1018 Carbon and do a Copper Plate Finish. Then it would also still Patina Naturally.
