Round 2?

When you break your right foot and with a 6 inch fracture and write on the doctor's orders "cleared to play golf."

BTW...averaged 282 off the tee with my right foot in a plaster cast from just under the knee to 4 inches past the toe. Incredible balance. Have thought about breaking both feet to see what could happen! If you want good humor, on any uphill hook lie it was normal to swing and go rolling down the hill.

Went through multiple rolls of duct tape to attach the size 16 golf sandal spike to the bottom of the cast.

when someone at work that you've never met before comes up to you and asks "i heard you're the golf guy, what do you think of the taylor made burner irons?"

when you tear your achilles tendon playing bball and start wondering when the next time you will be able to play golf is

when you get your cast and go to the range and think how wonderful handicap parking is

when you get your cast removed and your leg is atrophied, you go to play 18 and your playing partner asks why you are doing a gangster limp

when you go get fitted for glasses and wonder if having glasses will make it harder to make good contact

when your email gets spam email from 20 different golf courses everyday

when you are moving out of college in northern california and you make sure to leave by 12 am so you can make your 7 am tee time 450 miles away.

when you pull an all nighter at a card house and lose 5 green fees so you will be sure to be awake to make your 6 am tee time.

when you can't answer the hypothetical question, "would you give up golf for (insert name of the hottest girl in the world here)"

when your fingers are glued to alt tab while reading golfwrx at work.

when you have to pretend you have somethign in your eye so your boss doesne't see you laughing

When you know that the black, yellow, and white WRX banner at the top of this page

looks just like Fuji Speeder shaft graphics.

When you replace a soft spike cleat because it has one prong torn off.

When on Ebay you click on the Highest priced Scotty's to see what the heck putter could be work 5K and up.

excuse the severe necro-bumping

in no particular order:
you haven't bought any clothes that aren't golf related since you took up the game

when choosing a golf shirt you always need to toe the line between flamboyant and work appropriate so you don't have to waste five minutes getting changed before twilight

the first thing you do when you wake up is grab the smart phone and check all golf related daily deal sites

when you hesitate at the question, "would you rather give up sex or golf for the rest of your life?" (so my wife claims)

when you have the audacity to tell your boss you'd like to modify your work hours so you can squeeze in a few more weeks of twilight golf (hey, it worked)

you wake up earlier on weekends than you do for work yet you're never tired or have a hard time getting out of bed

you pay more attention to weather patterns than an air traffic controller

the trunk of your car looks like a mini pro shop

you spend so much time in the local golf shop, you know how every hole on the putting floor breaks

you feel oddly empty if you don't visit said golf store at least once a week

you hate reality TV yet will watch Big Break

the drawers in your office are filled with receipts and shipping labels from golf related purchases

you clean your clubs more often than you wash your car (I actually own a sizeable auto detailing stash so this is worse than it sounds)

whenever you visit a new area, the first thing you do is google "golf" in the google maps app for that area

you are actively trying to convince your wife on Myrtle Beach for a first anniversary getaway. Cause you know, there's like beaches and shopping and stuff

and finally, your dreams are no longer exclusively about sex and women but sex, women and golf are always intertwined...

Your golf magazines are stacked so high on the night stand, when they fall over they knock over the lamp.

And when your wife is accustomed to, but still cringes at that telltale thud of another small divot taken out of the wood floor...time to go to bed.

Damn, thats funny...

I actually "removed" a bit of carpet on my honeymoon in Hawaii late one night. Needless to say, it was time to end that practice session...

Ahh, the good folks of Lana'ii- thanks for being so understanding!

when your wife wants to know why you don't wear "all" the golf shirts she's bought you......I'm a little supersticious about a good or bad round!!

when you're at the beach with your wife and she tells you to put your feet in the sand so they don't get burned or on her own sprays sunscreen on them and demands you get them tanned!!

when your teenage kids beg you to not wear flip flops to dinner since the ghost feet will embarass them if they see friends!! I did anyway!! :yahoo:

Also pulled my back at the gym from dead lifts and bent over rows. Literally I could not bend over to put the tee in the ground. So everything was an iron off the tee box ...lol. When I got to the green I just left the stick in the hole. When I got it in the cup, I pulled the flag stick out of the hole to get the ball out . Then used the backside of my ping g5i answer blade putter to scoop the ball in air to catch it. Might be a record now that I think about it, play an entire round without bending over, might give Guinness a call about that.

...you skip a televised meeting to be awarded a 300 Million Dollar lottery because it would have forced you to cancel a once in a lifetime weekend playing Augusta National.

If this is true, I think I speak for most when I say, "I hate you!"

Joking of course. Need a new friend?

You flake out after waking up and realizing your wife took your car to work - with the sticks in the trunk. And although she works in a secure facility that requires a clearance to even get in the parking garage, you call her to take them out of the trunk and secure them in her office.

You're at dinner with the wife and her friends. One of the husbands of her girlfriend looks over and says "So, Sunday?" - in which I just nod. All the women stop conversation and say - "did you guys just decide to play golf on Sunday, with two words and a nod?".

when you have your cellphone alarm set to 7PM on saturday and sunday so you dont forget to call to reserve tee times for next sautrday and sunday.
you also grab a house phone, and make everyone around you call the same number.
in bergen county NJ, getting a good weekend tee time is like winning a lottery. no joke.

when you are stuck watching the baby on the guys day out and you play 18 at the muni with it strapped to your chest

when you take the baby to the driving range strapped to your chest as a training aid to maintain "the v" in your arms
Why in the world do you keep referring to the baby as an 'it'? *slap* What's wrong with you!

great training aid though I must say. :clapping:
