Hey SC owners, where do you keep your pivot tool?

Where do you guys keep your pivot tools? Mine doesn't look all that snug in my headcover, and I would think it will fall out of there rather easily. I think mine will find its way into my valuables pouch of my bag when not in play. When I am out on the course, I'll keep it in my pocket.

Anyone lost theirs while it was in your headcover?

I've never owned a Scotty putter, but I've got 3 or 4 tools I've found on golf courses. I think you've got the right idea.

Be careful putting that thing in the pocket. They can poke you and get your attention quick.

I keep mine in a valuables pouch when not playing, then i carry it in my pocket while playing.

 

They never stay in the headcover, you will be tipping your bag upside down trying to get it off the bottom.

I agree it WILL fall out of your headcover and i just keep it in my pocket like a normal pitch tool. To be honest it doesn't neeed any special treatment it does the job but it does it very well. It is the best pitch tool ive used.

I don't use it. Other than that, I have a favourite pitch mark tool which, although is ordinary, is extremely rusty but smooth so everyone asks me about it.

I have one of the pivot tools with the clip on it from Club Cameron and it is a lot easier to use rather than the standard one. With the clip I can put it on my back right pocket and never have to worry about it stabbing me in the leg. Watch out they get pretty sharp after about a season of use!

If you reverse the divit tool it will stay in the head cover and be secure. If you are afraid of losing it just leave it at home. You will find smaller and earsier to use divit tools at any pro shop.

i've had my scotty for over 6 monthes and have never had a problem with the divot tool falling out. i keep the tool in prongs down.

I use the flat plastic two-bar divot tools you get for free at some courses.

 

I give the Cameron tools to friends who will use them---I don't b/c they aren't flat.

I keep it in my valuables pocket and never take it out. Not that I think I will lose it or think its too valuable to use. I think it is a little too bulky - I use a flat one from the Promontory or Glenwild golf courses.

As stated previously, turn it upside down in the headcover, it'll stop it poking holes in the top of the headcover and is less likely to fall out. On the course it goes into the pocket.

When I had Cameron cover, I usually leave the tool in my drawer at home. Never had to use it for anything since I have my own divot fixer tool.

I put it on the hook they used to put on ping stand bags. I leave it there and use a golf design tool clipped on my pocket.

When I use the one with the clip it does on my left side pocket.

I've got a SC and also found a divot tool while playing. Keep it in your pouch or pocket.

I've played with two Camerons that had the pivot tool on the cover and have never had a problem with it falling out. Like many others have already stated, the tool will stay in better if the prongs are facing down. I think they only fall out if the leather gets stretched. make sure that when you put it back in you put the rounded side in first , then once its as far as it will go put the pronged side in.

In my bag when I am not playing and in my pocket when I am. I gave up on leaving it in the headcover after the first time that I had to flip my bag over to get it from the bottom.... :drinks:
