3M Scotch-Weld DP810 on the tour vans. Pricey stuff. $20 for 1.7 oz
Thats the stuff that they put in and BAMM you can go hit it???  I watched the video on mizunos site where the tour van guy was building a club.  He put it all together in 5mins, and sat it by a heating deal, then said you could play it in like 10-15mins.

Brampton make a "5 & 10" epoxy - which is dry in 5 minutes and playable in 10 minutes. I'm sure it works, but I'd always leave to cure for 24 hours.

Ive used the Loc-Tite too, from builders square, but dude the golfsmith one says TOUR VAN right on the label!!  lol :)  I HAD to try it!  I did do a set, but did it 4 irons at a time.  Usually Im just doing a wood or two, or a wedge or two.

Im definitely going to try that 3M DP810, Mitchell Golf Equipment company even sells it, on their site, so it must be hardcore.

i mainly use Bramptons/Mitchell but of the Golfworks epoxy, i like the Tour Set Plus if you want to put the club(s) into play the same day. gel time is 25-30 mins and full cure in 60-90 minutes. never had an issue.

I have used the "Two Ton" epoxy I get at Wal Mart. I have used it for years and have no problems with it at all. I make sure and let it cure for at least 24 hrs. before I use it. It cost like $2 and works great if your not in a hurry to use it.

Yup. :good:

I keep the 5 gallon container with the pumps of West System for all sorts of uses but for club work I've just used the black 2 part Golfsmith stuff with no problem at all. The real thing that I like about it is that when I heat a club head to pull, it gives a very distinct odor when it is up to the right temp to put pressure on the head, and this alleviates any worry about putting too much heat into a graphite shaft. I doubt it was planned that way but I like how it works.

I once was asked to pull a deep bore driver head built with 2 ton. Took alot (stressing 'alot') more effort than standard golf specific 24 hr epoxy. Since the head was red, I'm glad it didn't scorch.

3M DP810 is a Methyl Acrylate, DP100 is an epoxy resin. We tended to use 100 for iron builds and 810 for woods. I know many of the other manufacturers (TM,Cleveland etc.) use 810 on everything.

Both go off in about 5 minutes in decent temperartures. Obviously slower in our wonderful British winter.

Has anyone used this two ton for commercial purposes. Seems like a good way to save my store some money if it is actually just as good. Epoxy is very expensive.

Also, does it come apart just as easy. I don't want to spend 15 minutes to adjust things on people's clubs that I built.

My favorite was from this guy in florida who made his own somehow. He had great 24 hour, nicer to work with then either golf works or golfsmith. And stuff faster then the fastest stuff that golfsmith and for ALOT cheaper. Clear two, I hate the black epoxy.

He disapeared though. Tommorow I will find out the name and make a thread and see if anyone knows where he went.

any thought to whether you get a stronger bond with the longer curing epoxy?

for ski repairs I was always told to use a long setting epoxy because its more resistant to sheering

obviously if you're in the Tour Van and need to get clubs out the door there's a good reason to use 5-10 minute stuff, but if you've got the time is it better to use 24 hour?

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
