Do you take your glove off to putt? [POLL]

I take off my glove to putt. I really don't think about why I take it off as it probably would not make much difference in my putting; however, it would be difficult to change as it seems to have become ingrained into my pre-putt routine.

almost always take my glove off to putt... unless i forget to take my glove off. i usually miss anyways though, so i'm not sure if it makes much difference to me.

Glove on only for full shots, and straight off again after.....and, yes, I started this when I was a young 'un because the pro's did on TV. But, there is a practical reason too. As a very fair-skinned Englishman, on the rare occasions that the sun actually comes out I don't want to get a slightly-tanned right hand, while still having a pale-blue left hand!

I actually wear two gloves to putt now. Weird I know, but it quiets my hands down. I think this might mean I just need to get a larger putting grip and ditch both gloves. I used to use no gloves but lately I've been draining putts with two on. I think it got in my head after playing a round in the cold weather where I was draining them and felt the control. It just went from there.

Instead of buying a huge KJ Choi grip, has anyone just wrapped extra tape under the grip for a similar effect?

I always take my glove off to putt, chip, pitch. Just feel more comfortable on the touch shots without one on.

I have a new bettinardi putter with a super tacky grip and i just couldn't put with a glove or else my blade would to quickly

I learned to play with no glove and just a few wraps of tape on 2 fingers on my left hand. I take the glove off for all shots within about 10 yards of the green for feel purposes.

jack nicklaus and long john daly keep theirs on....i take mine off after every shot and put it on right before i hit. adds to my preshot routine

I putted with a glove on for the first two years I played, now I can't imagine putting with it.

Although, I do use a glove while chipping and with any short shots.

I take mine off between shots and to putt, my hands sweat alot here in Texas and it seems to help gloves last a little longer.

My glove comes off when I pitch, chip and putt. It provides great feedback and feel for me. A gloves helps me with traction and grip on full swings.

always take my glove off when I putt. I actually try to keep the glove off of my hand until I need to hit a shot to let it dry out and breathe. Too hot down here in Texas to keep it on all the time!

I agree. I've played a few courses down in Dallas and it gets hot and humid out there during the summer. My glove gets soaked after each round and I have to leave it out on a table overnight for it to dry.

Only take it off to put - and only on the green. No idea why but if I'm putting from the fringe I leave the glove on. I tell myself it reminds me to make a more positive stroke. All nonsense ofc.

I tried to play without a glove but I just couldn't get on without a glove on a full shot. I'm actually loving the feel of the FJ GTX gloves - feels like the kinda glove Spiderman would wear....

I attribute it to just being lazy and not wanting to take the time to put it back on.

I have practised with it off and on and didn't notice any real difference.

I always take my glove off and put it in my back right pocket everytime before I putt. It is mainly just because it feels better without a glove on while putting. It seems to me that most people do this now
